Now Pass Out has left the top 40 what is the song that's spent the longest time there? OMG?

OMG closely followed by She Said

Everything in the current iTunes top 40 made its official chart début in 2010, with just one exception - Gettin' Over You first charted at #86 (in its original version) in 2009.

I really thing My First Kiss has a good chance at going Top 10, hated all their other songs but like this one.Lets hope some change happens between 21-30 this weekend those songs just keep changing places it is getting boring. Its a shame the Scissor Sisters did not go Top 10.
I just pray some how Katy stays at #1.

She will.

:P

Bishes aint got nothin on katyyyyy

I think Steph Cunnigham(hollyoaks) if she released Tommorow, Tommorow which she sung on Hollyoaks would stop Jls.. No..No

Lets Petition Pheobe to release Smelly Cat surley that will stop JLS

lol. Smelly Cat would be the best #1 of the year. I heard there's a full-length music video for it too!

Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg will definitely be number-one again this week, although I wish Airplanes would be.

I've just seen, Alors on danse is #300! :o It'll probably fall out soon though, because people will soon stop buying the Clubland 17 version, and start buying the version from Stromae's album again.

I don't get this whole thing anyway. Like Stereo Love from Clubland 17 is #40, and the real version is #37! I know both tracks are exactly the same, but are people like only realizing they can actually buy the song when they see it in the compilation or something?

If what Greg said on the chart update was true, a certain Neapolitan-language song sampling song by two certain Australian acts which happens to have a slightly different version currently in the top 20 could be challenging JLS for the #1.

Very unlikely, but it could happen.

Oh god PLEASE let YBC be number 1 over JLS
It'd be funny if We No Speak Americano went #1 in the first update and ended up with a massive lead over JLS

No way. Surely JLS' promo this week (Headline T4 on the beach slot, which will be shown on channel 4 on Sunday) will give them the edge?!

I never thought I'd say this about TCIA, but PLEASE grab the number 1 spot and prevent that WNSA crap off the top :(

I'm firmly in the Yolanda Be Cool camp, just because we've had so much generic copycat pop/R&B doing far better than it should recently and it's always nice to see another genre/language (:kink:) at #1. Neither song is particularly popular on BuzzJack so expect a lot of 'worst top 2 ever' comments next week, but I actually love We No Speak Americano  I don't hate The Club Is Alive, I just think it's a step backwards from One Shot which showed signs of progression. I fully expect JLS to go to #1 and disappear from the top 40 within 6 or 7 weeks whilst Yolanda will probably go to #2 and hang around for a lot longer or maybe climb to #1 the following week. I'm 100% certain that the latter will outsell the former when all is said and done.

I actually like JLS's new song, but I would love We No Speak Americano to beat them.

I think We...Americano will be huge, but I doubt it'll be number-one. It's release isn't going very well. :( JLS have a fanbase, so people will buy the song because it's theirs, so even if there were dozens of other versions on iTunes, I don't think it would hinder them too much. Yolanda Be Cool and DCUP don't really have fans. People are only fans of the song, so they'll buy other versions of the song. And it's quite possible that this will be their only hit in the UK.

In these times, only (new) acts from the UK, US, Canada and sometimes Sweden seem to be able to string together more than 1 or 2 hits - YBC not being from any of these 4 countries sort of makes it impossible for them to follow up WNSA successfully. It doesn't help that WNSA is a very gimmicky song. (I'm not saying it's bad - I love WNSA - but it's an unusual, gimmicky formula for a song that wouldn't work twice)
