The man is an actual re**** and clearly deluded.

While i agree Blue won't win, it's by far our strongest entry for quite some time.

Also, many people from his twitter page probably haven't even HEARD the other confirmed tracks in Eurovision (bar Jedward - hence why they're saying they'll win - when they really don't stand a CHANCE, imo) So isn't he being kinda hypocritical in when he says this...

"Get the Baltic states to vote for us and I'll believe we stand a chance! Not unpatriotic, just realistic."
Aren't the UK always voting for the same countries every year?

Touché :D

It'll be Turkey 12 points, Greece 10 points from the UK guaranteed regardless of the quality of their entries. Unless of course neither qualify in which case it'll probably be Ireland 12 points. Again, unless they don't qualify. Then the UK might actually give their 12 points to the track most worthy of the top marks. -_-

Well Greece have got pretty much the worst track they could have sent, so it'll definitely be 12 to Turkey this year but of course no less than 8 to Greece. If Ireland make the final, lets face it, they're in our top three. I'd hoped the juries could stop this madness last year but not at all - our 12 went to Opa :/

Do we know what our jury gave to Greece last year?

edit: 10! The public gave it 8, but we have no hope if even our jury has no taste. The jury gave nothing to Lena, but the public gave her 7. Public gave 12 to Ireland, 10 to Turkey & then the 8 to Greece - could it be any more typical of the UK?

God, he is such a twat :manson: its just needless really, he's like a dark cloud in an otherwise clear sky as the reaction has been mainly positive so far

You seem to be so negative about Greek entrants all the time except when they send Helena Paparizou females! :(

That's because I think they're massively overrated, even most of their female entries (Mando, Anna Vissi, Kalomoira - NOT that great tbh). It's true that the only thing I've ever rated highly from Greece is indeed Helena Paparizou. I think it makes it worse for me that the UK seem to dish out the 12 points to Greece regardless of what they send, gets VERY annoying. Come on, you know I'm not one of BJ's 'I HATE MALE ARTISTS' type people, I just think that Opa and this year's entry are genuinely horrendous. Take a look at my current 2011 rankings where you'll find 2 females and 3 males :D

I quite liked OPA by the end! Very energetic and precisely the sort of thing that the UK wants from Eurovision - albeit to them it's just overexaggerated culture of the sort they want to see on their holidays that they can half take the p*** out of whilst sort of enjoying. Much like Eurovision itself in the eyes of the majority of the British public then...I have a feeling Greece could miss out this year anyway, their diaspora isn't quite as powerful as Turkey's and this represents a genuine slip-up for them.

I think most of all I love the assertion from Philip Schofield that getting three countries to vote for you gets you victory.

Of course i know you're not the 'I HATE MALE ARTISTS' type, never said you were, it was just strange to think you only liked female artists... but then again i didn't know you were not crazy about Kalomoira :o :o :o Genuine shock moment here! :o I guess greek national music motives can't click with you (just like me not liking Lykke Li that much - the only thing besides ESC and sexual orientation that me and Cremey don't have in common. Pretty much literally :( :( )!

I don't think liking only Helena constitutes as only liking female artists! Kalomoira was ok but generic as hell, incredibly disposable (I've not listened to it since 2008!) and so overrated, especially in BJ, and ultimately in the contest. Perhaps if Greece hadn't had SEVEN top ten hits in a row, mostly with completely generic entries, I'd like them a bit more! There were a couple of songs in the Greek NF that I liked a lot so I wouldn't say I just instantly ignore anything related to the country. It's obviously a 'me thing' as opposed to a 'UK thing' though, seeing as we've dished them out nothing less than 10 points since the 00's began! As for the male artists thing - 2002 - HORRENDOUS, 2004 - ok, but overrated, 2007 - generic as hell and didn't deserve it's high position - sounded like a Ricky Martin reject, 2009 - the best male entry for me, but would go out in a semi in Melodifestivalen, nothing special, 2010 - sorry, not my sort of thing, 2011 - truly abysmal. And the females: 2003 - bland, 2005 - fantastic, 2006 - very OTT, glad it didn't quite live up to the hype, 2008 - ok but very generic and throwaway.

I LOVED Kalomoira. Not straight away but sometime after the contest it really clicked. :o Probably the best Greek entry for me!
I loved Helena, Kalomoira & Sakis (2009), but OPA was one of the worst entries last year, and this years entry is maybe one of only two I think (along with Portugal) that I haven't had a listen to yet.

It was like what Britney would have released on her debut album if she was brought up in Greece  The Greek influence of the song is the only thing that stopped it from sounding 10 years out of date! I'd be surprised if anything ever tops My Number One for me, and even so that wasn't my favourite of 2005 (Cool Vibes ).

I'm never one to divulge in Eurovision, but BLUE! WTF! seriously? another last place finish :( Even Jedward will beat us :drama:
