Well I think you're the only one who believes that. She looked nothing like Alex. Anyway, Alex hasn't exactly copyrighted Beyonce's songs.

And so what if Cher was inspired by Keri Hilson's performance? That's it - inspired, not copied. I don't think it was a carbon copy IIRC. Anyway, it's not exactly terrible to repeat choreography. Alex did it with Britney's Toxic on XF two years ago.

It's kind of funny looking at the youtube videos of Turn My Swag On. Like how all the comments are about the X Factor, and how all the graphs of them have the views suddenly increasing 20-fold the day after Cher sang it. I bet all the americans watching the videos get a bit confused.

some very good, different song choices tonight- I hope we get this for the live shows rather than the same old talent show fodder every week :(

LOL I just noticed that now. Went from like 200k to 2m now. X-factor helped get it 10x more views and it isn't too bad either. But there are some fan wars in the comments

I would be interested to see how the X-factor contributes to the charts this year, as they have already contributed to a top 5 hit (or top 10 if ADELE drops). Perhaps a few more songs will be revived? I really hope some good underrated songs get thrown in the mix and I BEG TO GOD THAT JOURNEY doesn't get another boost  I've had enough of it now -_- Although it is still a guilty pleasure <_<

I'm personally hoping for some of those amazing album tracks which never get released as singles to be performed, like The Silence, Dance in the Dark, Missing You (by the Black Eyed Peas), etc. I think the X Factor is a great opportunity to popularize those songs. I know that's not what the show is for, but I'd love it to get some album tracks top 40. It got Use Somebody by Pixie Lott to #41, but I think that was a B-Side rather than an album track (I'm not 100% sure).

I somehow find it difficult to imagine them performining many songs from the past 10 years though, let alone album tracks from the past 12 months. :(

Same and it would be crazy if something like "Can't Breathe" by Leona was performed (well) (ok maybe I'm just dreaming). But I definitely get what you mean. There are so many good songs out there, I just hope people like Mary (if she gets to the live finals, which tbh is a definite) can revive some older songs. I can see this X-factor being more in sync with what is going on in the charts this time round though. Well fingers crossed ^_^

P.S: I think they should have an X-factor week, where the contestants perform original songs from past X-factor contestants :D

I like Treyc but she is loosing her identity sorry to say but she really looked and sounded like an Alex B clone.Cher is trying too hard you just have to watch videos of Keri Hilson to see that she has just done a cut and paste copy.I have nothing against Cher I think in a few years she could be really good but at this point there is clearly something wrong with her and she seems a bit unstable.

I don't think anyone would ever model themselves on Alex. Treyc can sing Alex off stage anyday

Give it up Desire bitching about Alex agian  I did not say anyone modelled themselves on Alex, I said Treyc reminded me of her and sounded similar.Treyc is great and can do a wide variety of styles but that look was not her.Firelies and Cry me Out should go Top 100 again.

No, you said Treyc was copying Alex. I think someone's trying to back-track now.

And how do you know if that styile isn't her? After all, she did style herself that way so maybe it is her. -_-

Dont put words in my mouth I never once used the words copying you can check what I said and I stated she reminded me of not she copied anyone.I am afraid it is some folks clearly too happy and too quick to try and bash Alex over the head while not knowing how to read and interpreting my comment the wrong way.

No offence Breakeven but after the complete humiliation and the extra slice of humble pie you suffered on the Joe-Ambitions thread you should be the last to be hurling insults

You tell 'em, Bey!

Btw, Mr Lovett, is your signature referring to Beyonce because I notice the font is identical to the IASF era and Round IV would be the fourth album...or am I embarrassing myself?

I hope torn can climb further, im still dispointed just say yes by snow patrol isnt picking up sales as its been played quite alot over the last 2 weeks, on saying that snow patrols greatest hits album has been moving up the charts so maybe the album is benefiting instead which is good.
The producers sure do like Leona

Yep. 'I Will Be', 'Here I Am' and 'Happy' were all played.
