My retro faves :D

2009

01. (-) Dizzee Rascal - Holiday Good but not as good as the two he released before it...so much better than the two #1's he had that would follow it though

02. (1) David Guetta Ft Akon - Sexy Chick

03. (2) The Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling

05. (3) Tinchy Stryder Ft Amelle - Never Leave You

06. (6) Little Boots - Remedy

07. (5) Beyonce - Sweet Dreams

2005 - shock horror, 2005 has the best retro for once! This is the week when the charts finally took a huge turn for the better that year I think, coincided nicely with me about to start uni, which always brings back good memories :D

01. (-) Oasis - The Importance Of Being Idle Their best 00's single alongside Stop Crying Your Heart Out - the only two worth bothering with for me

02. (-) Rihanna - Pon De Replay Who knew she'd be such a huge star! I thought she'd be another Lumidee

03. (3) Daniel Powter - Bad Day

04. (-) Simon Webbe - Lay Your Hands Thorughly decent debut, far better than I thought he'd come out with

05. (2) James Blunt - You're Beautiful

06. (-) The Black Eyed Peas - Don't Lie The only BEP's song I ever bought up until The E.N.D. era!

07. (-) Girls Aloud - Long Hot Summer The black sheep of the GA catalogue, ended their top 5 streak! I always found it pleasant but hardly amazing...

09. (-) Kaiser Chiefs - I Predict A Riot/Sink That Ship The former was quite good, never heard the latter

2000

02. (1) Spiller - Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)

05. (4) Melanie C - I Turn To You

07. (6) Bomfunk MC's - Freestyler

09. (8) Storm - Time To Burn

10. (9) Janet Jackson - Doesn't Really Matter

All pushed down 1 place in the top ten in 2000, how bizarre

Scott Mills is doing the chart today! :cheer:

:cheer:

Maybe he'll actually pay some interest to, or be able to pronounce, Stromae

Morning all. Hoping that Biffy Clyro have managed to climb into the top 40 this week.

Are you Stateside now?

Are you Stateside now?

I am indeed, landed in Nebraska Wednesday morning, so expect me to spell centre the wrong way and remove the 'u' from words such as humour from now on.

Don't you dare!

Hope life is good in the Bruce Springsteen album.

Am I mad, or were Hurts not in the new entry clips? :(

I bought GA (for completists reasons :kink:), Freemasons and Black Eyed Peas, so three. Just noticed Mint Royale's Singin' In The Rain was new at #20 the same week! Big week for 'classic' singles entering :o

It is, bar the odd silly question from Americans. eg 'Do you know any leprechauns' & 'do you have typing in Ireland?'
