September 11, 201014 yr I'm pretty sure it'll be $h!te on Channel 5, when did they last produce a decent programme? My point exactly.
September 11, 201014 yr Blimey i'm really upset that it's actually finished, talk about an end of an era. It kinda makes me feel bad for being upset and it's one of the most slated/criticized programmes on TV but hey i actually loved it from watching the first series till now (except BB4 & CBB1,2 & 3). I Understand it had to be put on the shelf as it was becoming quite poor as of late but as a whole i've really enjoyed it. Nice tribute to Jade, great to see loads of ex HM's. The funeral was way OTT imo & i'm satisfied with the final 5 being Victor, Chantelle, Nick, Nikki & Brian but would've swapped Vic & Chantelle around but definetly Brian was a brilliant Housemate and he deserved it and Nikki deserved to win but i'm happy with her finishing runner up. :snif: :snif: BYE Big Brother Edited September 11, 201014 yr by I Am Rob
September 11, 201014 yr I've just caught up with this- and wow, that was a great send-off unsurprising, but Brian was a worthy winner and very deserving of the 'ultimate' BB housemate title, Very pleased Nikki got second too, but generally it was a very deserving final 7, some were a bit dull, but I didnt dislike anyone Davina was a great presenter and stuck by it even when it started declining- she was great for the job, and wow, we finally saw Marcus Bentley in person :o Im not sure its a good idea if it comes back on Channel 5- it needs a few years off so it can come back better than ever :) That said, even though it needs to be tooken off for a while, I will really miss it and I did enjoy it, even when the ratings were abysmal R.I.P BB :snif:
September 11, 201014 yr Last night was brilliant. The opening sequence to the final hour was superb and out of who was involved in UBB, the right three came out on top and in the right order too. They need to bring out a DVD featuring the best parts of all the series in full, the DVD that is currently available is shockingly bad :( Also, not sure if anyone can help, but what was the song that was featured during Nikki's best bits? I recognised the voice, but can't pin down who it was...
September 11, 201014 yr Also, not sure if anyone can help, but what was the song that was featured during Nikki's best bits? I recognised the voice, but can't pin down who it was... Katy Perry 'Firework', the 3rd single off the 'Teenage Dream' album. ^_^ Oh and to stay ON TOPIC - I'd also love a DVD of the best bits, especially so I can see some of the apparantly great series I missed (3 and 5 - I started on 6, but even then missed quite a bit of 6, 7 and 8). September 11, 201014 yr Of course I know that, but people like him being so heavily in the spotlight can only fuel a negative stereotype for some people who are actually narrow-minded. I understand that, but it's hardly Brian's fault that narrow-minded people would think "he's vile, therefore ALL gay people are vile." Oh come on Cal, you know as well as I do they always pick the freaks and the exhibitionists for this show.. They dont pick any of the majority of the gay community who are just regular folks.. It's always the stereotypical "flaming queen"... I mean, seriously, what's the difference between how so-called Reality TV presents gay people and how Hollywood does...? Scott, I knooooooow. He may be flamboyant, but he's actually real. There are many who act on the fact that they're gay (Marco is one, although I quite like him), but Brian's not one of them. He's just genuinely camp, and I don't see why he's being blamed for the ignorant views of a few people. That's all I'm saying. ^_^ Overall, I'm very happy with the winner. I love Nikki and I'm glad she was second. Loved Ulrika too, seems that this UBB appearance did some good for her considering she was quite hated before she went into the house...

I don't hate Ulrika at all and i have liked her from being on TV when i grew up alot and then CBB 2009. I really liked her still but i somewhat didn't this time. Her catty remarks towards Nikki weren't very nice so i kinda went off her this time round. Edited September 11, 201014 yr by I Am Rob

Thanks for that ^_^ . The first 5 series of Big Brother did come out on DVD, 1-4 should be available to buy on Amazon/Ebay and series 5 was given away free in some newspaper, but the editing on that wasn't great. They probably cost the earth to buy though now. It's a shame they finished bringing out official DVDs, but I'm guessing the Series 4 release flopped and hence they didn't make any for the following seasons :( .
September 11, 201014 yr Im SO HAPPY for Nikki! Second! :w00t: It would have been amazing if she won, but obviously that wasn't going to happen. :( I miss BB already...
September 11, 201014 yr Obvious it's coming back one day, wit the final, "Big Brother will get back to you". It does need a few years away, before being brought back, by whichever channel. If the five deal falls through would C4 consider it in a few years time? when they realise they've forgotten how to schedule programmes in the summer
September 11, 201014 yr But that would be telling...Post your source mate, if you don't want to post it then don't post anything relating to it ^_^ Also please see the Libel warning. Ta
September 11, 201014 yr It's odd. BB is well past its best, but during BB11, they had some of the freshest and funniest ideas since the format began to go cold. It needs a few years away. I'm in no doubt that it'll come back in a few years time, but it needs a rest at the moment as the ratings are just not there. Some of the housemates are legendary though. BB3 will always be my favourite. I think during the Max Clifford VT with Jade Goody it really stood...she for one should have NEVER gone back in that house, and the same goes for Nadia. Fortunately, people like Brian, Chantelle, Nicki, Victor etc. are back in the public domain and will most definitely only do good out of this.
September 12, 201014 yr I really wanted Nikki to win :( Brian was too obvious, not the end for BB I wanted tbh :( I hope it does go to Channel 5, but I just hope they don't change it for the worse
September 13, 201014 yr I really wanted Nikki to win :( Brian was too obvious, not the end for BB I wanted tbh :( I hope it does go to Channel 5, but I just hope they don't change it for the worse Agree with everything you just said. Although if it does go to five, I hope they wait a while before broadcasting it. The public needs time away from it for interest to be there when it does return.
September 13, 201014 yr Brian... Vile? =s What a horrible thing to say, he may be camp but he isn't exactly a queen... i think he is a good representation of a normal person, he is ambitious and has made the most out of his life + the show was very different when he first went on to it. There are a billion different types of gay person, obviously... but to say he is a vile representation is just ridiculous... fair enough if you branded marco, gerry or charlie this... although marco has grown up now. But regardless, i think the one thing we should have all learnt from big brother is that it doesn't matter what people look like, what background, race, sexuality, religion, if they appear to be a freak... because we always end up realising they are just normal and liking them... (well, some aside, e.g. Alex BB9)
September 14, 201014 yr I sure glad it's over - it must be the most overrated reality show of all time It was good at first but I stopped watching after the 3rd series as it was starting to go downhill then.
September 15, 201014 yr I'm pretty sure it'll be $h!te on Channel 5, when did they last produce a decent programme? My point exactly. But they aren't producing it. It's Endemol who will produce it, the same company that has produced it for the past ten years on C4. The quality won't be affected too much because C4 have been overpaying for the past few years, and the price put in doesn't reflect the quality of the show that has been produced. It's what happens when they sign such a long and lucrative deal.
