Yeah, on Viva they play the UK's Top 40 every day. I was watching it today, and when they got to Alors on danse, they said something along the lines of "Unfortunately, we were unable to get hold of the video" and then they played the new Robbie Williams song instead! I was so annoyed! It's going to be top 40 next week, so I hope they get a move on and get the video. Viva is on Freeview, so a lot of people will have the channel, and Stromae's missing out on the opportunity to have his video played on TV everyday. Let's face it, he's not some worldwide superstar that people will want to buy songs from even though they haven't heard them yet.

 

I think Alors on danse has a chance of being #1 in the European Hot 100's year-end chart, so it would be a shame if it didn't get more popular in the UK.

 

It's got a remix at #163 though. I don't know what that's about!

The rest of Europe didn't seem to have a problem :lol: It's ironic as usually Alizee was ignored by Radio 1 (I think) and a hit mostly because of music video channels, Moi Lolita was literally always on. It's strange that it's the other way round here, I'm surprised they can't get hold of it - must be a licensing issue but surely Island records aren't that mean, only licensing it to AATW (who would inevitably make their own massacre of the song to fit with their 'two minutes is best' remit).

The Script are smashing in Ireland because they're Irish, see Boyzone, Jedward, U2.

I hope The Script won't be so successful here. Alexandra and Alesha's tracks are much better in my opinion.

I'm thinking that they just didn't know the song existed until they read the UK's Top 40 on Sunday, and were like "Oh no, we don't have the video for #33", and it'll take a few days for them to actually get the song now.

The Script's song is just same old same old. Not bad but just predictable and run of the mill. Alexandra's however is awful, I agree.

I hope The Script are just as big this era as they were with their debut era :wub: There doesn't seem to be a 'Rusty Halo' track on their album though :( and all sounds in the same vein as their new single, but hey, it works well and they do it well. :wub:

I have yet to hear the Script song- Alex's is OK, but not great in the slightest, Aleshas more or less the same- both not exactly quality songs though

 

Linkin Park is probably my favourite out of the new releases- I hope it can go top 20 and not totally flop :cry:

Well, it's just an opinion, but I find the song by The Script very boring. I'm fed up of it, and it's not even been released yet. Alesha's and Alexandra's songs are songs I've not got bored of yet, and I find them very catchy. I love the beat in Start Without You.

Ofcourse it is just an opinion that is clear, what else could it be?

I predict Olly will drop from #1 later on today.
