The first single from their 2nd album 'Circles And Satellites', 'Home' was recorded in Los Angeles at the famous Sound City Studios (where albums by Nirvana and Red Hot Chilli Peppers were recorded). It was produced by Matt Wallace (Maroon 5, Faith No More) who brought out the best in the band's songwriting, forcing them to think deeper and longer about what they were doing. The result is a far more mature and confident album than their debut. 'Home' was the first song written for the new album, and is about how the band feels more comfortable in themselves - both personally and musically. - HMV

This is Rooster's fifth but lowest top 40 hit ever lets hope the album does better.

Sheffield boys Milburn, who made a mightily impressive first foray into the singles chart at Number 22 with their debut single 'Send In The Boys', follow up with their next single release 'Cheshire Cat Smile', an infectious slice of pure, spikey, up for it guitar-pop packed with attitude. - HMV

Youthful indie rockers The Kooks return with new single 'Naive'. Taken from their recent top ten debut album 'Inside In/Inside Out', 'Naïve' is the follow-up to their last single 'You Don't Love Me' which reached no.12 in the UK charts, and demonstrates a fairly subdued and sensitive side to the band.

Nylon

Milburn were above them in midweeks so I'm hoping they've climbed higher.

I'm so chuffed if they've beaten the likes of Richie Ashcroft and Rooster who are established chart acts.

Things don't look good for Rooster.

You might be right but I don't think Rooster are gonna give up.

That album isn't even gonna come out as they've been dropped.. if you don't believe then look at what it says on their album page on HMV and it says it's been deleted. Even if it does come out it's bound to be a big flop.

HMV are often inaccurate. It maybe the album has been put back or something different.
