It reminds me of express yourself and hollywood.

Hmm, i can't see any resemblence to Hollywood myself. Although there is a tiny bit if similarity to EY I guess.

Shes performing it on the X-Factor?

Well nothing's confirmed but she wouldn't dare release a new song without a good XF push

There's something about this track which makes me feel like it doesn't fit together quite right.

I've never heard a song that has such messy production  Certainly has some strange parts in the song. The chorus is ok though.

#1 due to it being Cheryl Cole.

I expect it will be an easy no1 if it is not against something really huge. (Winehouse 1st single? TT first single? Duffy? etc). I do not like the song but I don't like Cheryl too. This is Nelly Furtado-like... FFTL was better (still not good enough) but it is a good era for her I expect this to do well. Sadly, I'll vote for no1.

TOP3 after the confirmation of Rihanna performing on the X Factor.

TOP3 after the confirmation of Rihanna performing on the X Factor.

I think Cheryl will still the #1 though. If anything I could potentially see Rihanna go 2-1 though.

Is Rihanna definately being performed on the 24th? If its the following week I'd be sure she will climb to #1.

Rihanna performed the week her album was released last year, didn't she? Maybe she'll do the same again.

Could be an interesting battle though if it's Cheryl vs Rihanna and both with X Factor performances :o

EDIT: Nevermind. She didn't. Weird... her performance last year really had no correspondence with any date whatsoever!

It's Rihanna! Of course she'll peak at #2!

I genuinely think Promise This is a fantastic song. It's very catchy, and her 2nd best single after 2 Words.

Fight For This Love and Parachute were very boring to be fair, but this song deserves to be a success. It'll do very well in other European countries too, which will prove it's not just being bought because of the X Factor, but that the song still sells in environments where Cheryl doesn't have such a fanbase like in the UK.

Im sure Cheryl will beat Rihanna- its not very good imo but she'll will get so much hype, plus shes already had lots this year already, and as said above, its Rihanna- it will be number 2!

I think she's definately got No.1 in the bag, she's quite popular at the moment, and no doubt will be a performance on the X-Factor

which will help her out a lot.

Fight for this love and parachute were and probably always will be her best singles to date.

'Stand Up' and 'Rain On Me' from her album were both better than 'Parachute'...

I've heard them and have to disagree, parachute & fight for this love were her best so far.
