Agreed. They're OK, The Man Who Can't Be Moved was alright. But they don't EXACTLY define a generation.

And the best Irish album out this week ended up way down at #37 (Sharon Corr that is by the way) :( A good 100 or so places higher than expected, and higher than Robyn's new album as well actually, but still at least 30 places lower than it deserves.

How are they not? I don't hate them or anything, but I just think they are.

Hmmm, okay.

Has there been all-new Top 4 albums before?

'Take It Off' I don't care what anyone says, all of Ke$ha's four singles have been at least pretty good.

Up 10 places! Showing a bit more longevity for a former number 1.

(35) The Script - The Man Who Can't Be Moved

Believe it or not, this tune is currently in the top 40 in US Airplay chart, making it a tough problem for the US record label that promotoes the Script

I agree actually, I think "TiK ToK" is sounding great again now.

The 'The Wanted' staying power is quite good after all: even without 'Help for Heroes' support they wouldn't drop very quickly.

UK pop quartet McFly burst on to the chart scene with a fresh twist on the boy band formula, they played their instruments! They wrote their own material! Lead vocalist and chief songwriter Tom Fletcher originally tried out for Busted, but when he was beaten to the position by Charlie Simpson the band's management held further auditions to form a new outfit centred around him. The links between the two bands were cemented when Fletcher contributed material for Busted b-sides, and the two bands toured together in 2003. The invaluable exposure from the tour helped push McFly's debut single, "5 Colours In Her Hair" to the top of the UK singles chart where it was promptly joined by debut full length ROOM ON THE 3RD FLOOR. Follow-up effort, WONDERLAND, matched that achievement and in 2006 they moved into the movies, starring alongside Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan in the film JUST MY LUCK. - HMV

McFly didn't fall very much after all! SO much for the 6-24 drop like quite a few people predicted initially!
Im really disapointed with manic street preachers position this week, although on the opposite maroon 5 improved quite well in the later part of the week
It says something that even though it was one of Mcfly's lower charting songs- it only falls to 13 on its second week far better than their other songs they could finally be braking through to a new audience

The Killers frontman will return in September with his debut solo project entitled 'Flamingo'. Brandon Flowers said he missed his remaining bandmates when he was laying down tracks for the record, despite the fact he had drummer Ronnie Vannucci on board.

"It was weird," he said. "Without the union and The Killers and that way of doing things and friendship. I had fun making the record but that brotherhood didn't exist. At times it was a little bit lonely." - HMV
