But a re-release just tries to appeal to more people, with a new lead single, its a chance to appeal to new people and gain new fans, i dont see it as insulting at all. You can always just buy the new tracks on iTunes if you dont want to buy the whole album. I like the idea. :)

 

Sometimes you can't though, they're locked as 'album only', plus sometimes I want one or two songs physically and the only way to do it is to buy the £10 album again. I know I can technically download and burn them to a CD but it doesn't feel the same :lol:

It's funny how K.Perry went 2-2-3-3 and Taio went 3-3-2-2 during the last 4 weeks. :P

I wouldnt call Dynamite a quickie really, its been top 3 for 5 weeks.

My favourite #1 since Yolanda Be Cool I think :D Great song, a million times better than Billionaire.

Dynamiter has held up better than Teenage Dream, so thats not a 'quickie' if thats what you mean ;)

My only problem with the re-releases is that they are damn hard to write about in chart blogs and keep up with the data :lol:

 

The Fame Monster was sort of a good thing because it really had the new material worth the re-release. Usually it's just one extra single or a bonus dvd

Rihanna pissed me off. I know it's years ago now but I bought GGGB when it was first released and then it was re-released with two of the best songs of her career imo and it was like a slap in the face because I don't see the point in buying the same CD again and she could've used TAB and Disturbia to launch a whole new record.

Exactly, dynamite is not a quickie.

And talent recognition, have you heard katy perry live? :huh:
