UGH! Do they have to play that interview so much? I'm Irish and I'm already getting sick of hearing his voice.

The song isn't any better, it's just depressing... and it takes forever to reach anything catchy.

I've gone from finding Start Without You mildly annoying to thinking of it as pure trash. It's just really, really god damn awful. Love Radio 1 for speading it up, you really cant blame them for wanting this awfulness off their airwaves as fast as possible.
Oh, fall out of top-10 Eminem/Rihanna! This is the most overrated song of the year (at least of the year)

Agreed. Though this Script song is no great shakes either. Tbh the UK chart has been quite terrible this year.

The album re-release nonsense is getting rather pathetic now tbh!

It seems record companies are just trying to compensate for the sagging album sales by trying to boost records by adding new tracks rather than actually trying to think of different ways to help. :S

Yay alex made the top 5 im soo happy for her and im glad she's still hanging on pretty well. And not falling as hard as alesha and mcfly which came out the same week as hers.
I dont get the hate for re-releases from a few people, i think its a great idea, why not? :music:

I think it's insulting to people who buy the original when it's first released.

GaGa made her re-release worthy though.

In McFly's defence though, the reason they fell so hard was because 'Party Girl' was actually really good. It seems that crappest songs seem to be raiding the Top 10 right now, leaving the best songs to spend two weeks in the chart before falling to nowhere.

Album Discussion Here

I'd far rather artists just put out a new mini EP/small album if they have new material to share. Special editions released in Oct/Nov smacks of desperation/cheapness and I for one despise buying the same album twice, although I've been known to do it if there's been no other way to get hold of the new material.
Record companies are running the risk that people won't buy albums when they first come out. They will just wait for the re-release and buy that.

I think McFly have done fairly well with 'Party Girl', I know they have fallen a lot, but they are holding better than during their previous era + sales are much higher.

Katy Perry! :) Good song.

It should have been:

1-1-2-2

:(

Teenage Dream is another song that is outlasting the crap that beat it to #1 :(

I'm shocked at the longevity of Dynamite.

But a re-release just tries to appeal to more people, with a new lead single, its a chance to appeal to new people and gain new fans, i dont see it as insulting at all. You can always just buy the new tracks on iTunes if you dont want to buy the whole album. I like the idea. :)

Thats true Alesha and Mcfly have bolted out of the Top 20 and will probabaly be out of the Top 40 this week. Really pleased at that considering they were playlisted by R1.

Decided this would be good if it wasn't by Katy Perry now...
