Teenage Dream would be a strong possibility too though. It's a bit early for Firework, and lets face it, if it's performed, it WILL go top 40. The only place it's started taking off so far is New Zealand, where it's top 20.

 

I hope it is Firework though. I'm fed up of Teenage Dream, and I think it'd be cool if Firework charted so early. I've only heard it once on the radio.

If Christinas release week is next week she should be on X Factor this Sunday but she isn't so I am struggling to believe that she is going to be on it. If she is on it, its a silly choice to get Katy on this week to do Firework seeing as its so far from her release date while it is Christinas!

As someone who likes them both I knew the moment I Heard Bodies that Bad Boys would be the song getting to No 1.Even when Alex fans were up in arms about the fact that Robbie was getting an X-factor slot the same night and would be on after her.Bodies goes in the Rude Box category of songs best forgotten.Plus Robbies performance that night was a big comeback for him and it was truly a sweating, odd looking shambles.

 

We definitelly disagree here. In my opinion, although Shame was a shame Bodies was a big 1st single (a lot of people disagree on that so guess it was not that instant). I knew Bad Boys would get the no1 too but not because it was better. Even feel wouldn't chalenge Bad Boys and Angels wouldn't challenge Bleeding Love... It was the XF winners big 1st single and Rob's single selling ability is not good enough for that. In what world is Bad Boys superior to RB or Bodies really? :wacko:

There is much confusion on Rob's 'flops or bad performances'. Rudebox was a flop for Rob's selling standards and its quality was under his standards for a big percentage (the older ones?) of his fanbase. When people or press make such comments they have to do with Robbie only and not Robbie compared to Alex or anyone else. I strongly believe Bodies was high quality compared to Bad Boys. But it is beyond obvious that Rudebox is not "best be forgotten or flop" compared with Alexandra's (I am only using her as an example because you refered to her) Overcome both sales- and quality-wise. I remember a lot of fans and haters blamed Alex for not singing live so I quess she didn't quite outshine him despite the fact he was shaky and his singing was bad.

 

And since we are talking here about the XF risking going more offtopic I would say it has already peaked and it is moving down now. XF winners do fade away fast and saleswise Leona( :wub: )> Alex/Jls > Olly/Joe>....... It always has to do with the quality of their semi-puppet' work but it really appears to work this way. But since the fresh XF blood is weak this year Alex+Jls will not suffer a huge decrease in popularity because FX fans will turn to them.

You most certainly ARE NOT seeing things, as both charts above clearly indicate. Indeed experienced/knowledgeable members expect further slumping down the chart as the week progresses (see previous posts in this thread).

Diana's wicked heart will not do well, not on radio or on tv.. should have waited a few weeks and got someone like Pixie or something to do this week instead of a few weeks on. I know next week will have cheryl and someone else. I just can't see nadine on the xfactor! Cheryl would not like her getting a number one.

I think Christina might perform a mash-up of You Lost Me and a song from Burlesque. Some acts have performed their song a week or two after it's release so I guess there is nothing stopping her performing it, I think it's a great and also kinda personal song and she should at least just perform that and squeeze it into the Top.40 imo. But according to comparemyradio it hasn't been played by a single UK Station once in the last 30 days :o

Madcon perfectly fit the description of one hit wonder and yet they've had a few now - not massive of course but I certainly didn't expect to still see them scoring top 40 hits in any shape or form :lol: Shame Glow didn't get a proper push here after the ESC thing.

So its a battle between Usher & Mike Posner for #10 on itunes today..because usher has already made top 10 before i hope Mike Posner gets in there now once billionaire drops out.

I second that 100%. Cheryl is not a producer of the show, how many times should it be repeated. She is an EMPLOYEE of the show, she is getting paid to be on the judging pannel, ends of.

She has no power in who performs on the X and who doesn't. It's all about what artists will attract and please the more viewers. Dannii is a judge too and she couldn't even get a slot for herself when she released a single, so thinking the judges have the power to decide who the guest performers are is a total non sense.
