Ooh, wasn't sure if 'My Wicked Heart' was getting released next week - seems obvious with the X Factor performance but hadn't read anything confirming this. It's miles better than 'The Boy Who Murdered Love' as 'MWH' sounds nothing like 'Once'. The circus style video is also quite good too.

I think not, because she's had barely any promotion. Her X Factor performance will make up like 80% of the total promotion of the track. Once, however, premiered on the Big Top 40 Show in December 2009, and then gradually gained lots and lots of airplay, getting to the point where it was borderline unavoidable.

 

Also, Kuki, Duck Sauce had a hit last year, if you remember that.

Looking ahead to next week, there are three songs that might make the top 10:

 

The Wanted 'Heart Vacancy'

N-Dubz 'Best Behaviour'

Taylor Swift 'Mine'

 

'Barbra Streisand' is also released physically so this could give the track another sales boost next week (albeit a small one probably :P ). If Cee Lo Green doesn't decrease in sales too much this week he could make it three weeks at no. 1 (which would be brilliant :D ). The Wanted 'All Time Low' sold 84k in its first week and I can't see 'Heart Vacancy' selling more than that. maybe 80k tops. Next week could be a close top 3 sales wise - espcially top 2.

I don't think Diana will get another #1 single, maybe at a push she might get top 15, not every X Factor performance is guaranteed a #1 cough Joe cough, her last single didn't do that well. As for the Wanted, I'm still on the fence, got an inkling feeling at least top 10, can't see their second track selling over 60k while their debut track is still top 40. Its more likely Cee Lo Green getting a 3rd week, or Duck Sauce with an extra push with physicals.

Anyway, I actually now think maybe The Wanted will get another #1 what with their fanbase... but maybe that's just wishful thinking as I really really don't want Mike Posner to get there :( I'd hope it's a climber for Duck Sauce, or at the very least a third week for Cee Lo, just please not Mike.

 

None of the new entries are particularly great. Best Behaviour is good but it's very N-Dubz by numbers and definitely not anywhere near their best. 2012 and Mine are both absolutely terrible. 2012 just sounds like a generic American rap song without the rapping, I HATE Nicki Minaj (though she's sometimes alright as a featured artist, not on this particular song however) and Jay's voice is extremely annoying on it. I haven't heard Heart Vacancy but I'm sure it can't be too offensive, I like 'All Time Low' now it's grown on me. Cross My Heart is very average and a big step down from Rescue Me whcih was itself a big step down from Bad Boy. Haven't heard My Wicked Heart either, but I've not been a huge fan of either of Diana's previous singles ('You'll Never Get To Heaven' is amazing, but the rest of her album is $h!te, such an annoying voice most of the time). TBWML was alright, I did chart it, but I've gone off it a lot now.

 

I think Jay, The Wanted and N-Dubz will go top 10, Taylor just outside, possibly top 10. Skepta and Diana top 20 (maybe top 10 for DV if she gets a slot on the X Factor).

I only say as high as 95 for Xtina because Mariah & Ne-Yo's Angels Cry inexplicably managed to chart in the top 90 earlier this year despite being practically nowhere on iTunes and having no physical, so I guess Xtina might do so as well. YLM is more likely to not go top 100 at all IMO.

 

MWH is being performed on the X Factor but I think it'll just do an 'I Want To Know What Love Is' and only be propelled to low top 20.

I can't see Bruno re-overtaking Duck Sauce, especially as Duck Sauce are still ahead combined when factoring in their EP, and I'm sure it's built up a pretty good sales lead over Bruno over the week.

Avicii is enetering really high with My Feelings For You. I hope i goes top 40 and then there's a release of Seek Bromance o he will have two hits in a short time

I've only heard the song once. I don't think it'll go top 10 either, it's nowhere near as big as I Need You.

It will go top 10, but it'll be a very front loaded and may actually suffer a similar fate to what Joe McElderry has done...
