I'm really impressed with Alexis Jordan - have liked 'Happiness' ever since I first heard it, just couldn't predict it was going to be a massive hit or massive flop. Then again the music video is always getting played (so it seems) so it's obviously helped. I also think the video for 'Happiness' is brilliantly edited (a bit like Lauryn Hill 'Everything Is Everything' only even more bizzare).

 

Rihanna no. 1 on iTunes :wub: 'Only Girl' could end up having a massive lead on iTunes after tonights performance. :D Then again, looking at the pop bars for Bruno Mars both Rihanna and Cheryl Cole seem to taken a massive drop in pop bars from where they yesterday morning.

That's not a bad thing! The remix with Flo Rida hasn't even been out for a whole day, not everybody will bother downloading two versions of a song, and it's doing well so far. Besides, when 'Ego' was released, it was around #11-#15 all the week of it's release but managed to go top 10.

WOW! @ Alexis, unexpected. Hope RiRi's sales go through the roof tonight.

Hopefully when promotion kicks in this week both versions will be in top 20!

It's fair to say that after two #1's this is NOT how to follow it up Roll Deep :rofl:

 

It's a decent song but doesn't touch Good Times and Green Light imo, and I actually find Alesha's vocals suit this style of music less than Jodie Connor/Tania Foster. I'm not surprised that it's flopping in comparison, however I did expect it to at least go top 20 by this point and low top ten officially.

 

Shocked but pleased to see Alexis doing so well, like Hits, I couldn't work out whether it had hit or flop written all over it, because I thought it might have done a Sky Ferreira. One of the more shocking big hits of the year for me personally.

I agree :) It was pretty much the complete pressurisation of Buzzjack that made me eventually, somehow change my view on 'One'. I used to really hate it, now it's okay. I wouldn't compare those situations as 'Happiness' has been nowhere near hyped as much as 'One'. But I've loved it from the first listen :P

The Flood is out next week as the album has been pushed back.

 

Haven't heard of this Kylie appearance, I'm guessing she'll be performing GOMW as it didn't have a great chart run.

 

Well she has 'Better Than Today' out on December 6th, I think if she were to appear it'd be more sensible to perform that...
