It would've been an interesting scenario for sure - I do think Tell Me is a good song, but I just don't like launching the era with a "bitter ex" song. I think it's more suitable for when people have already bought into someone as an artist. The fact that Feels So Good did so well after the album flopped makes me think it could've done better as the lead single.

She's doing shitty TV shows unfortunately... the latest, Queen of the Universe or whatever it is, has just been cancelled... Reality TV is so lame, jesus...

I hate that she is doing these instead of music.

Same. I’d love at least a duet with Melanie C. Never Be The Same Again needs to be performed once with Mel B. She could rap and sing in the chorus!

I miss her really. She’s a great dancer and she can sing.

Well Queens of the universe has been cancelled so even though jobs are getting harder to come by.

She looks good.

^ Agreed! And I'm glad the interviewer commented about how Mel looks like a "woman in love" -- she's got this glowing smile about her. If it were solely up to Mel B, we'd have everything we've been wanting from the SGs and then some. :cheer:

Deluxe edition of Brutally Honest will be published early next year:

"In this brand new, updated and expanded edition written with Louise Gannon, Mel brings her story up to date. With her trademark honesty, she tells the unfiltered story of piecing herself back together, dealing with trauma and new heartbreak whilst becoming a champion for survivors of abuse, performing once more with the Spice Girls and receiving her MBE from Prince William".

Ooohhh good for her! If she goes into more details about the 2019 tour and the various cancellations since then, I will probably buy it! But if it is a 'and then I got my girls together and we toured' without any more details, I wont bother lol

I gave my copy of the original to a local charity shop before I left the UK

We are at the point of them recycling solo stuff now, two different NS vinyls, My happy place vinyl, new edition of Brutally Honest, even Geri's doing kids books again and recycling a leaked song from years ago for it. I'm not going to say they are creatively bankrupt but man they are verging on it.

I agree with you. Always the same stuff.

Re-releasing an autobiography over 5 years after original release is quite a surprising move. Is that quite rare? Usually I notice autobiographies getting a paperback release a few months after the hardback, either with a slight update to it or no update at all. But I haven’t noticed any get re-released after many years. Interesting decision from Mel and the publishers.

I wonder if they’ll leave all the previous chapters untouched, and add a new chapter, or chapters. Her book is all over the place in terms of jumping around the timelines of events, so I’m not sure whether they’d try and add new stuff within the book, or make it more straightforward and add it all to the end.

Hopefully new artwork is a given, something superior to the original art. Her image nowadays is more recognisably Mel B than back then. I wonder if it’ll still be credited to “Melanie Brown”? I know the book did well in the first place, but I feel like “Mel B” on the cover would be beneficial over Melanie Brown.

I would say this is more interesting than Emma & Melanie C reissuing vinyl in different colours!

I think she mentioned in a recent interview that nowadays people were more open to discuss domestic abuse with her than they were when she was doing the original promo for the book, so this might come from that.

It’s a good point! So proud of her for all the work she’s done over the years to raise awareness and help people feel more comfortable to talk about it. Hopefully the reissued book continues to help that.
Maybe the timing is to coincide with her being back on American TV as a judge on AGT, and to capitalise on the promotion around that.
