Can we also tone down on the use of which songs do and don't deserve to be #1, before the thread descends into an argument.

beps will be back when the video is released and they are on the xfactor!!

will be fun when the westlife cds are added on tuesday - they will have the biggest physicals imo!!

Delighted to see Take That back in the top 2, either way they will have very decent singles sales again this week. I think Black eyed peas could possibly be an outside threat to number 1 this week although i do think JLS will end up number 1, either way i hope it is a good race for number 1, i like a bit of excitement in the charts.
Its an anthem and probably one of the biggest songs of the year by the end of the year. Brilliant song and Amazing artist. Nuff said. :D

I liked both The Flood and Love You More so either being #1 will be good.

Only Girl already has had 2 weeks at #1 and highest selling #2 of the year on its first week of release. B)

Loud will also get a high peak and good, consistent sales for a long while.

I love Rihanna, but disagree with this. I just don't really see Rihanna as a big album artist!! Apart from GGGB, she hasn't had a huge album over here, she's mainly singles. I think she will have more huge singles from the album, but I don't think it will get particularly high in the charts and maintain good sales. I would be delighted to be proved wrong, however.

how big is the gap between TT and LYM?

And how many albums over here has she had?

Rated R did pretty well to be fair, not amazing, but not bad either.

I agree with you she sells more singles then albums on a whole, and will have big singles from this album, but i really see high and consistent sales all the way through now till xmas/new year at least and still continue selling reasonably well past next year. Loud is a great album with potential.

Anyway lets stick to itunes

Westlife may get the same peak as the likes of Shayne Ward/Diana Vickers i predict..

^She's had 4 albums.

Loud is nothing special, average at best.

I really wonder how BEP's are going to sing The Time live on x factor...

Rated R has sold over 550,000 copies in the uk and is 2 times platinum. Why do people put Rihanna's album sales down, yes they don't match her single sales but thats because her single sales are incredible.

Her album sales are put down because she is made out to be the biggest and most popular artist going and should be selling more for that title but isnt.

How many did "The Circus" by Take That sell in comparison?

Yep you said it, she sure is, well one of them. ^_^

I've had to make this announcement with JLS & Take That, so I guess Rihanna is next

Again, thank you :P

I still think TT could be a real challenge this week - JLS could fade fast after peaking so early. Also 'The Flood' download bundle of the track and video has been reduced to 99p on iTunes and physical sales of the standard CD and DVD single will be high and the track is likely to get another boost with a 2nd version in the iTunes chart tomorrow after the release of the album

I agree with your point however the Take That, JLS and Rihanna tracks are currently the most popular in the UK Itunes chart so surely they are bound to be discussed in depth here?! Everytime someone makes the Top 3 in the iTunes chart do we have to go to another thread to discuss it?!

iTunes Popularity Bars

RTW back inside the 100 again! And with just a tiny clip of the song played! Surely it can't be too far off 800K sales now.

That's not it at all.

It's when we get a page of Rated R sales, or a page of "Greatest Day is better then The Flood", etc.

Those things have nothing to do with iTunes and always end up in an argument.

As always happy to see rule the world getting extra downloads, im susrprised westlife arent higher by now, do westlife usually get huge phyisical sales???
