I hope Game Over doesn't chart this week. Apart from it obviously being shite, it will be a nightmare to prep :drama:

Just noticed McFly are still top 10 :o They overtook Bruno without me noticing, brilliant :D Hope they stay top 10 officially although I have a feeling Mike or Bruno might re-overtake them

Then again, one of them could knock out Westlife instead of McFly

8. Like a G6 (feat. The Cataracs & Dev) - Dev, The Cataracs & Far East Movement :D

9. Safe (Single Mix) - Westlife

10. Shine a Light (Radio Edit) - McFly & Taio Cruz

1. Progress - Take That

I hope this track does not chart

It will not fit on my database for artist title :drama:

If it weren't for the made up umbrella name 'Artists Stand Up To Cancer' (it was not officially credited as this, it credited each artist individually), 2008's 'Just Stand Up!' would be credited to...

Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Natasha Bedingfield, Miley Cyrus, Leona Lewis, Carrie Underwood, Keyshia Cole, LeAnn Rimes, Ashanti and Ciara !!!

#3 Ellie Goulding - Your Song.

I just went back to the SCST 2 weeks ago and found 'Take Control' where most of the info is already filled in and I copy-pasted msot of the chart histories :P

Does anybody know if that version of LTWYL will be combined with Eminen's version, or will it chart seperately?

And I hope Game Over and What's My Name go top 40. I think it's a while since we had an album track with like no promotion go top 40. Tinie Tempah and Ellie Goulding almost did it with Wonderman a month or so back.

'What's My Name' better go Top 10, eventually. Not necessarily this week (as it won't unless it goes Top 5 and stays there all week) but just eventually. It's brilliant and a massive grower.

I don't see why it would be combined, as it's solely credited to Rihanna - if it does go top 100 that'll be a bit awkward in my chart spreadsheet though as it means Rihanna will have two top 100 singles in the same year with the same title  The only difference will be the Eminem song has a footnote attached to it

A similar situation happened in 2007 when Amy Winehouse was credited to two songs called Valerie in the same year - one of her own and one as a feature on a Mark Ronson song

The last time an album track with no promo went top 40 would be the original Love The Way You Lie :P

The last time there were 2 in the same week would be I believe in the week The Blueprint 3 was released, ESOM charted at #15 and Young Forever at #35

Not sure when the last time there were 2 from different albums both going top 40 in the same week though...

I found it very instant, absolutely loved it from the first listen - her best song in years for me

Anywayyyy, I bought Tinchy's album today and whilst a few of the songs are unexpectedly strong, Game Over is definitely not one of them - this is a song selling purely on 'fanbase power', and it sure of hell covers a lot of fanbases

It almost happened last year, when Telephone got to #15 on iTunes with no promo (I guess people were just buying it because it was like "Wow, Gaga/Beyonce collab"), and Wait Your Turn from Rihanna's album, and a track from Susan Boyle's album almost got top 40 I think. Monster by Lady Gaga also went top 40 on iTunes that week, and Alejandro got to #42 if I remember correctly! That week was crazy! :o

And I still can't believe LTWYL got to #2 on iTunes as an album track! :o That's absolutely incredible. In the US, No Love also went top 10 the week the album was released, and ironically, it's looking to chart higher on the album release week than on the single release week over there.

I agree on Rihanna. Why it wasn't the first single I have no idea... OG(ITW) is awful, while WMN? is probably her 2nd best song ever for me behind DSTM.

As for Game Over, I quite like it but it's a bit of a desperate attempt at success - it'd be hilarious if it somehow outpeaks Second Chance on cherrypicks alone (although that's very unlikely, it might get top 30 at best)

A-ha, good memory! That actually occurred *after* Jay-Z, and an unpromoted SuBo track did indeed chart (I Dreamed A Dream at #37) as well as Telephone at #30 and Wild Horses at #9 (but that had an XF performance so it doesn't really count)

Wait Your Turn got #45 and two more GaGa tracks went top 75 - Monster at #68 and Alejandro at #75.

Chart facts :magic: Fun times

I won't get into properly ranking Rihanna singles for fear of it getting chucked into a 'Rihanna singles rank' topic in her AF, but it's probably my 2nd favourite too, although behind Disturbia.

Oh definitely, I looked at the star power on that and thought 'this could be a truly amazing song' but it really wasn't :( Second Chance was so weak, like a diluted version of Take Me Back. My favourite song on the album is the Alexis Jordan collaboration, which could make a decent single for both of him seeing as her star is rising and hers is fading. The Amelle track didn't grab me which is a shame as I adored Never Leave You.

 Just found out there is a track on McFly's 'Above The Noise' album called 'iF U C Katie'! If U Seek Amy comparisons?
