Yes, technically NO promo. TT getting the press coverage and massive airplay is a normal thing for a new hot release.

I blame Polydor really, they have totally f***ed it all up by bringing the release date forward. Yes, people might know TT are releasing new stuff, but they might also not know whether its 15, 22 or whatever. I am sure The Flood will outsell Jls and Westlife, because, at the end of the day, sales are more important than chart positions.

I for once don't blame Polydor! The band have said themselves they can be lazy when it comes to promo! They could have got themselves on ANY TV show this week if they had really wanted too! Polydor are doing the best they can with a media and online campaign just like they did when TT didn't promote the sales disaster that was IWFL!

On another point i see that the single & video bundle of 'The Flood' has been reduced to 99p on iTunes - Could help pick up some extra sales after the XF performance :D

McFly are pretty chuffed with being 3rd and I'm sure wont be too upset about dropping to 4 (Although it will be a shame after holding on to 3 so far all week). I think being ahead of Take That on Itunes and reaching number 3 on there at this time of the year was good enough for them from their reaction.

Epic achievement for McFly - Especially as the song was given away free to their fanbase way before its release! I think this comeback has made them more relevent than ever and i really think this album longterm will be a consistant seller for them :D

JLS and westlife have a big fanbase that would ensure their singles did well, even without any promo, especially jls.

And no 3 or 2 should be a dissappointment to any fan as this was supposed to be the big comeback with Robbie.

nonsense that no2 is a let down, what are you talking about.next week we shall see take thats album shift at the very least 150k, if not double that if people go out and get the album this week(by the end of december it will shift around 700k if not a million!!)

if jls are doing that in 5 years let alone 20 years time ill eat my hat and the rest of what im wearing!!!! :naughty:

Is anyone else surprised that Jay-Z's Hits Collection isn't higher? Anyone care to speculate as to why, besides not selling well of course? It's full of hits and collaborations and his first GH as far as I know.

i checked the listings which have a lot of the singles from his latest album and less older stuff, that put me off and so i bought the black album and the blueprint part 1 instead!!
