Why? The whole point of Radio 1 and Radio 2 is that they're completely different, which is why only five songs are on both playlists. If they played Gabriella it would defeat the point entirely.

I think On A Mission appeals to listeners of both R1 and R2. Whitney's a great addition, was I Look To You playlisted?
I actually see her more as a R2 kind of artist, but I think "On A Mission" had Radio 1 crossover potential.

I hear OAM at least twice a day on radio2 and I only listen till about 2pm.

Radio 2 showing Radio 1 up again-variety and common sense not an almost desperate need to look hip and trendy like Radio 1

The two R&B/Soul divas next to each other

Lovely to see Maria Mena there too. For me Radio 1 has the edge for the european dance stuff they add (albeit rarely these days), but I think Radio 2 ends up being cooler by not trying so hard as Radio 1.

TRAINTRAINTRAINTRAINTRAINTRAINTRAINTRAINTRAIN.

I'm rather exciting to see Hey Soul Sister on the Radio 2 playlist. Hopefully Radio 1 sees sense soon and adds it too.

From the look of this play-list, I think I'd rather listen to Radio 2 than Radio 1.

But I can never abandon Radio 1 - I love the Scott Mills show

Since when did the Mika song become Mika vs RedOne and get called We Are Young rather than Kick Ass? But anyway, great playlist, def less tryhard than R1.

Haha, maybe the BBC perceive the original title as too risque to post on the Radio 2 site  Although it's always been Mika vs. RedOne as far as I know - that's how it's listed on the soundtrack anyway.

i couldnt abandon radio 1 because i love the fact that one min you will hear biffy clyro and then it will be followed up by a dance record and then eminem - random diversity whereas radio 2 has some great songs on there but no genre breaking diversity imo.

Something tells me gooddelta might be happy for one Ms. Diane Birch. :naughty:
