Gosh, the Black Eyed Peas are doing really badly with cherry-picking! :o Especially compared to N-Dubz and Ellie Goulding. Isn't there like one standout album track people want to buy or anything? :( I guess there's no big collaborations on there, but still.

 

I don't like Poison that much tbh. Jai Ho, Hotel Room Service and Candy were all much better.

Ellie's song is one a 1 minute long commercial that airs all the time to millions of people, ain't that some promo?

 

Anyway, Your Song is an amazing song and her cover is amazing as well. I love the video and her voice as well, this song deserves to be #1 because those reasons.

Olly Murs is actually holding up much better than I would've expected. :o Plus with his album no. 2 and likely to remain there all week (I can't see Olly outselling Take That), he will have outpeaked and possibly outsold Joe McElderry's album first week position/sales. It says a lot when 'Thinking Of Me' is holding up better than Joe's proper debut single. Having seen the video to Joe's new single, I'm not expecting big things either. Maybe it's the SyCo effect.

Its not the Syco effect, it was pretty obvious from the very beginning joe wasnt going to be a successful recording artist.

To be fair though, Keri Hilson beats Beyonce on the "serial collaborator" front. She's done so many collabs, it's insane! She makes Nicki Minaj and Pitbull's list of collabs look pathetic. Everybody from Nicole Scherzinger to T.I, Usher to Kanye West, Ne-Yo to Timbaland (she could probably make almost an album's worth of Timbaland collabs by now :lol:)!! :o

 

Then again, Beyonce gets to collab with Jay-Z and Lady Gaga, so I don't know... I can't see Beyonce ever doing a Rihanna collab though! :lol:

Say what now? Paramore are huge at the moment one of the leading mainstream rock acts at the moment and one of the few that can actually sell albums fairly consistently and shift a few singles (the only exception/ignorance)

They sell out arena shows in minutes. They are massive. Pretty much entirely due to Hayley.

 

Bob (not b.o.b ;)) had his previous single go #1 and sell over 300,000. WHAT A FLOPSTAR.

 

Moral of the story is, if you're gonna defend a current flopped dopper. Don't compare them against people that are clearly out of her league because there really is no comparison lol.

 

Christina's album made number 1. Yes. But selling a laughable 24k which she's basically doubled since. She's on the way. Shame as her last 2 singles (the majorly underpromoted) Not Myself Tonight and Keeps Getting Better where pretty damn decent tunes but noone wants to playlist her anymore. :(
