December 2, 201015 yr Well, to be fair, if X Factor was a genuine talent contest, it would be really boring, and get like 1 million viewers. If I were in Simon's place, I'd probably be doing the same (except I'd make the show for rappers, instead of singers :D).
December 3, 201015 yr How is ndubz #5 in album chart :puke: Because it's their best album to date and deserves to be #1. Come on N-Dubz! :cheer:

December 3, 201015 yr Where is Nelly Furtado's Best Of? Dunno but I'd be very VERY surprised if it reached Top 75. It didn't chart in the US at all (in other words failed to go Top 200)
December 3, 201015 yr Reggie will probably be playing 3 Rihanna songs in a row on Sunday. :D Coldplay top 30, hopefully top 20 by Sunday. Alexa is top 40, we've now had 5 variants of the name 'Alex' in the top 40 (4 of those in the top 10) in just over 1 and a half years: Alexander Rybak Alexandra Burke Alex Gaudino Alexis Jordan Alexa Goddard The Pogues top 30 :D To compare, this time last year they were at #31 (Mariah was #29, so she's also doing better this year) Edited December 3, 201015 yr by What's My Name?
December 3, 201015 yr Where is N-Dubz Girls? And what is the gap between Rihanna and N-Dubz's album? Thanks. So pleased for N-Dubz, looks like it could very well out peak Against All Odds! :D
December 3, 201015 yr Friday Update Top 40 Only SINGLES 1 X Factor Finalists 2010 2 Nicole Scherzinger FFS, how far down on iTunes must the XFF's *be* before they're overtaken?? :(
December 3, 201015 yr Fingers crossed she isn't - we don't need yet another rubbish number 1 :P This. :cheer:
December 3, 201015 yr FFS, how far down on iTunes must the XFF's *be* before they're overtaken?? :( Do you not read these posts:- If you do a bit of research you'll see they were doing this last year. They fell to 10th by the end of the week but still outsold #1 and #2 by 30k, I repeat, not 4k or 5k, 30k. They would have gotten to no.1 quite comfortably if it hadn't been for Peter Kay frontloaded charity song (who ironically was something like 16th on itunes that week). I just went to Sainsbury's and they're displaying Duffy's Endlessly (beautiful cover btw) right above the check-out treadmills (what do you really call those?) next to Take That, Cheryl Cole and Now 77. This old gentleman was in front of me in the queue, he picked Duffy up and take her with him. I wanted to tell him all about her kind of disappointing sales so far and if he would be a dear and buy some more for his friends and family. But I didn't. Conveyor Belt.
December 3, 201015 yr A real shame Pet Shop Boys are going to miss the top 40 for the first time ever. It's never even got into the top 300 on the i-tunes chart.
December 3, 201015 yr Do you not read these posts:- Conveyor Belt. Yes, I did - but the situation is simply not the same... 1. They sold 25% less, this time. 2. Their 2009 sales dropped by 57% on week 2. 3. The opposition is far stronger. I would still be astonished if they weren't caught by Sunday.
December 3, 201015 yr Yes, I did - but the situation is simply not the same... 1. They sold 25% less, this time. 2. Their 2009 sales dropped by 57% on week 2. 3. The opposition is far stronger. I would still be astonished if they weren't caught by Sunday. Assuming the same drop off for the XFF as 2009, that would put them on approx 62k this week (from 144k last week). Ellie sold 72k last week and her drop off from the previous week was 15%. Assuming the same drop off this week (15%) that would put her also on 62k. So it would be eeksie-peaksie by Sunday, but as XFF are dropping off at a faster rate, they'll be ahead just now with an ever-decreasing lead throughout the rest of the week before the two level out on Sunday. And Nicole I'd imagine is going to be very close to both of them too - I'd say right now it is still very much a 3-horse race and it is impossible to call it.
December 3, 201015 yr As long as Nicole isn't number 1 I'm happy ;-) Come on Ellie - it would be the first decent track in a while to get to pole position
December 3, 201015 yr I *really* hope Ellie gets #1, it'd be 3-2-1 :kink: And it's also easily the best track in the top 3 She's at #1 and #40 (album version) on iTunes, and her lead at #1 is sure to become pretty big over the course of the rest of today and the whole of tomorrow (unless Coldplay overtake of course) Edited December 3, 201015 yr by What's My Name?
December 3, 201015 yr I'd love Nicole to be #1, but would be happy with Ellie too, just hope its not XFF (but probs most likely will be)
December 3, 201015 yr A real shame Pet Shop Boys are going to miss the top 40 for the first time ever. It's never even got into the top 300 on the i-tunes chart. But it's easily their weakest single since I Get Along, so I'm not surprised :( And what was with the screwed up release with it? I'm sure they could have scraped top 40 if they released the CD and download together rather than weeks apart! By the way, it did get top 300 when the download was first released. I think it even got top 100, can't remember where it peaked though. Assuming the same drop off for the XFF as 2009, that would put them on approx 62k this week (from 144k last week). Ellie sold 72k last week and her drop off from the previous week was 15%. Assuming the same drop off this week (15%) that would put her also on 62k. And Nicole I'd imagine is going to be very close to both of them too - I'd say right now it is still very much a 3-horse race and it is impossible to call it. If XFF have a similar drop to 2008 then they'd be on about 87k and easily beating Ellie! We'll see what happens, but I think Nicole is out of it now, she'll probably drop to #3 by Sunday.
