Today's Mirror says that Take That had been due to perform Kidz last night, complete with 50 dancers dressed in police riot gear. But Simon pulled it because he thought it was too similar to the student tuition fee protests last week and would annoy people. Hence why they ended up singing The Flood again!

Not a bad final I thought. Based on last night Rebeccae stole the show. Sweet Dreams was excellent and I loved her version of Distant Dreamer and out of the winners songs I would've preferred to hear that instead of MOH but Matt was a deserving winner IMO. So many amazing performances from him and a few crap e.g. Come together but he's a worthy winner. I'm a little disappointed by When We Collide as i don't feel it does much for his vocal ability but i'll listen a few more times. I also liked One Directions Torn. I am hoping Rebecca and Matt bring out some brilliant material nxt yr.

Yay @ signing news! Now the whole top 5 have deals, and I can see them all being very sucsessful!

They can't all be successful lol - Simon is signing 4 acts to the SAME label at once, and SyCo is a small label. I don't know how he's going to manage all 4 acts and get them all up to scratch. He'd probably have to stagger their releases aswell... at least one of them is going to lose out.

 

Guess this means Shayne Ward and Joe McEldery are definitely for the chop though ha

This does not bode well, Syco does not cope well with its current acts.They are always late with videos, changing release dates and arranging promotion.I imagine Simon will have One Direction as his priority.Matt and Rebecca need joint deals with other record companies.I imagine Cher will not have much of a career she is not talented enough or likeable.

Well someone is going to lose out because I already stated SyCo is a VERY small label, I am sure there is near enough the same amount of acts as there is staff employed by SyCo music. It's why they are always so late with promoting people. So what as well as One Direction, Matt, Rebecca AND Cher, Leona Lewis will probably have a new album out next year, Labrinth needs to be properly marketed right AND there is Alexandra Burke and Westlife as well.

 

I'm sure RCA and Epic have handled some of the artists better that SyCo have. I am definitely imaging a rushed release for Matt Cardle, single from One Direction out in May time, Rebecca probably saved for Xmas and Cher's single to be out before the summer. Cher will definitely go down the Diana Vickers path as I could NEVER imagine her being a big selling album artist, whereas the other 3 I could.

Epic are one of the best labels on Sony ^... and SyCo is an extremely small company, I remember Simon saying once in an interview that he could never have taken on JLS at SyCo as they didn't have enough staff or time to do so, so I'm surprised at these reports saying how they've signed three other artists..

Hopefully that's true, I could see her doing really well if she works more with will.i.am rather than SyCo.

Really this comes as no suprise, of the final four Rebecca was the only one who I didnt think was an inevitability to be signed automatically but now that the overall votes over the all the live shows have been revealed it's again no real suprise given her popularity.

It really doesnt bode well for some of Syco's other less successful artists though does it if there are 4 new acts joining them.

 

Gotta say though, it's actually One Direction material that I'm looking forward too more than anything.
