I loved this song in late July, and I could tell it was going to be a huge hit - and I do love it, but the lyrics are a bit simple. It's a great dance/pop song though, so it deserves its place here! A shocker is at #47, as Justin Bieber scores a hit in my top fifty! His current single, 'Pray', is so amazing and so un-Bieber and I love it! It's a great song and naysayers can say what they want, he deserves this! I love everything about it from the lyrics to the music, so I hope to see more songs like this from him rather than his idea of a love song in the future! Pixie Lott's only hit on this chart is next, the Summer-vibed 'Turn It Up', the title track from her debut album, given a more pop-y remix. I love this new mix as much as the old and it's my second favourite song of hers. I'd always been slightly disappointed with her single choosing, but this was a great choice and a great song still. Finally at #45 is The Wanted's second (and final) entry in the singles chart. Their debut hit was just what a boyband's single has never been like before. It's a great upbeat song with catchy lyrics and fairly good vocals. Their album isn't as good as this, but it's still an impressive debut so they deserve this placing and I look forward to more of their music!

It features the soulful vocals of Cee Lo Green and was amazing during its time in April of this year. It's my favourite song off her debut album, and I really thought it'd be a UK success. Alas, it wasn't, and didn't even reach the top 200 (which the debut single, 'Right Hand Hi', did). Beyoncé's single complete with tongue-in-cheek music video was the fourth single off the 'Platinum' edition of her third album, 'I Am... Sasha Fierce'. Alas, the success ended with the first single off this edition, and the amazing 'Why Don't You Love Me?' flopped into the UK chart at #60-something. It's a great song though, and one of my Summer highlights. JLS's only entry is at #42, 2010's Children In Need single 'Love You More'. It took a while to click with me, but after hearing a good remix of it, I finally liked the original. It's their best single yet, so it definitely deserves its place here. I've not heard the parent album yet, but I doubt there's a song anywhere near as good as this on it. And just missing the top fourty is B.o.B's debut single, which also introduced us to the incredible Bruno Mars (who has another entry to come!). 'Nothin' On You' was a brilliant Spring/Summer anthem in May of this year, and is a really nice relaxing record. It didn't live up to its hype in the UK charts, however, after it's drop from #1 it soon faded out of the charts and was massively overshadowed by successor 'Airplanes' (which is higher up this chart!)

We first saw him producing and contributing backing vocals to Tinie Tempah's first two singles; 'Pass Out' and 'Frisky'. I thought they were both average, so when I heard Simon Cowell had indeed signed Labrinth, I wasn't expecting much at all. But then came this! It probably suffered from it being a very Summer-friendly song that was released in Autumn, but I still thought it was great and here it is! I'm looking forward to seeing what else is on his album in the New Year! Shontelle's first single off her sophomore album, 'Impossible', also sneaks into the top fourty. It's an amazing power ballad which I first heard in January of this year and was delighted it got released in the UK! It's an incredible ballad and (according to this countdown), my sixth favourite ballad of 2010 (depending on what you view as a "ballad")! The parent album, 'No Gravity', is also very strong and a huge improvement on the debut, 'Shontelligence', so I hope she can acheive more success with the following singles! Gabriella Cilmi has her first of two top forty hits here with the incredible 'Defender'. I wasn't too keen on this as an album track or when it was announced as a single, but it was the stunning music video that made it click with me. I'm not going to describe it as I'm rubbish at doing so, but feel free to watch the video above the experience the beauty of Miss Cilmi. Stunning song from an incredible album, which should feature highly in my album chart of the year! And just ahead of that beauty is McFly. I've always quite liked McFly's music, but 2010 has made me a huge fan of them! 'Party Girl' (which is still to come) was an incredible comeback and something that we've never before seen from the boys. 'Shine A Light' was another change of direction, and their first single to have a featured guest (in the form of Mr. Taio Cruz) and was brilliant in the Autumn of this year. I liked it from first listen, but it wasn't until I saw them perform it live in Leeds that I began to love it! Absolutely brilliant song and thoroughly deserving of its ongoing success in the UK chart!

I received it as a present for my birthday, judging on how much I loved the single ('Drip Drop') and the two B-sides on it. I did like the album, but it wasn't as impressive as I was expecting. However, the stand-outs are very good, so it's not all bad. I do think she deserves a bit more recognition here though - it didn't even get a UK physical release! Miley Cyrus's second (fourth if you count EP releases) album, 'Can't Be Tamed', which introduced her new "raunchy" look is next. It reached #1 in my chart, and I must say I did quite like it for a while. Again, the stand-outs are very good, but my only criticism is that she sounds a bit raspy on some songs. It's a good effort though, and a bit more mature than her previous stuff (well, the more serious songs). Taio Cruz is another 2009 release up at #33. I started listening to 'Rokstarr' again during 'Dirty Picture''s release, and it does get better after each listen. It does have a few patchy parts, but it's a decent effort. It was then re-released in a Greatest Hits format (titled 'The Rokstarr Collection'), featuring the singles and the best tracks off the original album, a couple of new songs, and bizzarely, some of his "greatest" hits. It's quite a good compilation though, but I do prefer the new tracks to the majority of the original album. A shock, perhaps, at #32 and it's Rihanna's fifth(!) studio album, 'Loud'. It did disappoint me on first listen, which I think was mainly down to the disappointing lead single, 'Only Girl (In The World)'. There's a few other good songs on the album though, but some DIRGE (which RiRi is no stranger to - see 'Rockstar 101' and 'G4L' off 'Rated R') too. It's not brilliant though, so it slots in the low top fourty. And just before the top thirty is a blast from the past, Toni Braxton! I first heard of this album through the single 'Yesterday' (which originally disappointed, but after multiple listens is AMAZING), so I gave the album a listen! It was a shock to me, but I absolutely loved it for a couple of weeks! It spent two weeks at #5 in my albums chart and here it is now! It's not the best album ever, but it's a strong output and a really nice R&B collection.

Anything else is unheard (and I don't want to waste my time listening now). Safura & Miley's album are both quite good, listened to Taio's last night and it's better than I expected. I first heard 'Your Song' in the new John Lewis advert, of which I wasn't very keen on it. After multiple views of the short 30-second clip, I began to like it more and more until it clicked with me! It's a truly beautiful song, by a beautiful woman and she deserves all the success she has achieved with this and her other releases this year! Cee Lo Green's debut solo single, 'F**k/Forget You' is at #35. It took me a while to actually bother listening to it, as I thought it'd be rubbish as it seemed to be incredibly hyped and I'm disappointed easily. Anyway, I gave it a listen and loved it immediately! It's a great mixture of his soulful vocals with and R&B vibe to it. It's a brilliant song and I can see it going down as a classic in years to come! Rihanna's penultimate entry is at #34, and it's the current single featuring US rapper, Drake. This was another song that I didn't click with immediately, but after multiple listens it's just amazing. I love the Caribbean vibe to the song and it's definitely one of Rihanna's (many) career highlights, and my favourite song off a fairly disappointing album. And at #33 is McFly's second entry and lead single off their fifth studio album 'Above The Noise', 'Party Girl'. This was the start of a new direction for them as a band and is one highlight off a brilliant album. I loved it from my first listen, and despite me claiming to be their #1 loon or anything, I never really reflected it in my personal chart until a few weeks before its release. It shot to #1 on release week, and deserved it! I was a bit disappointed at its underperformance in the UK charts, but 'Shine A Light''s success slightly makes up for it. Diana Vickers's final entry in this chart sneaks in at #32! The second single off her debut album, 'The Boy Who Murdered Love' is an infectous pop song with stomping lyrics and great music to those lyrics. I first heard it in early Spring/later Winter of this year, when a five-track album sampler leaked and I loved it from the first listen. It was again one of the best tracks from the album and I was delighted to hear it announced as single number two. Fast forward to July of this year when the music video was released, and I was very disappointed! 'Once' delivered us with spectacular song and video whilst this could only do the former. The song flopped into the UK chart at #36 and pretty much ended the album campaign. Jason DeRülo's final entry just misses the top thirty and is in infectous Summer smash that is 'Ridin' Solo'. It was again one of my favourite tracks off the album, but I never really paid much attention to it until Summer really arrived. I played it for weeks and weeks when it finally sneaked into my personal top ten after being a huge #2 hit in the UK. It comes off a brilliant album, which after a long time of growing and growing on me I now love pretty much every song on it! Eliza Doolittle's sole entry on this chart kicks off my top thirty, and it's the incredibly catchy 'Pack Up'! Again, I didn't pay much attention to it until Summer came, but after months of floating around my chart, it didn't exactly reach a respectable peak. I do love the song though, and it highlights true British talent, with a genius sample! I've not got around to listening to the self-titled parent album yet, but if it's anywhere near as good as this, I'll be happy. And at #29 is what would have been a shock to me if a future version of myself told me this in early June 2009. I didn't like 'All The Lovers' from first listen, I didn't like it from second listen either. I didn't like it when I saw the music video or heard it on the radio. But I don't know what it was that made it click with me and made me love it this much! It's a brilliant piece of pure pop and definitely one of Miss Minogue's career highlights for me, plucked from a fantastic eleventh(!) album by her! After many listens I can appreciate this as a truly mature piece of her musical catalogue and I think I can see this going down as a fan favourite for many years to come.

Skinny Genes is good and Rollerblades is better than average I guess but the rest is completely forgettable :( YES IT IS! :D And I agree about your comment about this being similar to Jonjo's chart - at least it makes me feel better at having #1s so low and low peakers so high! I'm shocked at your peak for LTWYL though! :o Which means it didn't make your top 100/200! :o I might listen to 30-second previews or something, but thanks for the heads-up! :)
