May 4, 201114 yr I can tell you who she isn't  :D It does have me stumped, I have a few thoughts, but nothing clear cut!
May 6, 201114 yr Really liked that episode although I agree the way the silence was dealt with left a lot to be desired. Who was the girl in the spacesuit? They basically just said "ah forget it" at the end. Darn loose ends. If we hadn't already seen Amy Pond as a child I'd probably have speculated that the timelord Child was Amy. Giving birth to herself would have been interesting....unfortunately we have seen her as a child so it can't be her. How boring.... Has anyone in the doctor who timeline ever been pregnant with a timelord before? Is Amy definitely the mother of this timelord? Is that girl who was in the spacesuit the timelord? (just in a different form) Are the parents Amy and the Doctor? Is Amy the timelord? (maybe that would explain why the doctor was so uncomfortable kissing her in the first season) Is this the last we've seen of the silence? Is River song the timelord? Which would make Amy Pond the mother of River Song! :o Which would mean River has the hots for her daddy. I was looking at some speculation that River Song and Amy Pond are the same person. They have River/Pond....both water related names. :o I don't think it'll be that though. I could literally keep asking questions well into next week. :drama: Edit: Just finished watching Doomsday in Season 2, very sad ending. Felt really bad for Rose...she's not gone 5 minutes and the doctor has already found his next partner. Edited May 7, 201114 yr by Sabrewulf
May 7, 201114 yr Naff episode, more of a filler did nothing for me, best bit was Amy swash buckling with a pirate  3/10 And what did Amy see, the woman with the eye patch
May 7, 201114 yr Author Another great episode (although not as good as the previous two - but that has set the bar very early on in this series.) I expected it be a filler episode, so was pleasantly surprised that it was enjoyable! I reckon the woman in the wood that Amy saw is going to come back later in the series, shall be interesting to find out who she is.
May 7, 201114 yr Alright episode. Got a bit clichéd in the middle, but the ending was great, and very touching. If this is the standard of the 'filler' this series, we're in for a good ride. 7/10
May 7, 201114 yr I wasn't expecting much from a 'filler' episode, so I was pleasantly surprised as it was a good episode :D looks like the woman with the eyepatch in the woodwork could be a key character Edited May 7, 201114 yr by chart wizard
May 7, 201114 yr I defiantly see this as nothing but filler, which isnt a bad thing as such but my interest in this episode waned as it went on it has to be said. It was a good episode on the whole, but nothing special.
May 7, 201114 yr It was better than I expected because I'm not really into pirates. Thought it was quite good. I was amused how many times people said 'Rory and Toby' because Toby is my name and Rory is my brother's!
May 7, 201114 yr It was alright, I thought it was a little obvious but I think it needed that after the very complex first 2 episodes. Lily Cole was expectedly awful though and she didn't even speak, she just has absolutely no facial expressions at all.

May 7, 201114 yr The sick bay gave me flashbacks of the New York human Dalek episodes  Hyped up for next week! Neil Gaiman's episode
May 8, 201114 yr Lily Cole was expectedly awful though and she didn't even speak, she just has absolutely no facial expressions at all. I thought Lily Cole was tremendous as the Sea Siren. She captured the character perfectly.
May 8, 201114 yr Obviously it wasn't going to keep up the ridiculously good standard of the opening two parter and this was always going to be a filler episode; for which I thought it was quite good. It was obviously not the best by a long shot and it had some negative points but it was nice. If that's the standard of the filler this series then we're in for a serious treat; for that put the likes of 'The Beast Below' and 'Amy's Choice' to shame. A solid 7.5/10.
May 8, 201114 yr Lily Cole was expectedly awful though and she didn't even speak, she just has absolutely no facial expressions at all. Well she was hardly going to be making goofy grins in her role was she? Plus she was an automated AI, even though she had intelligence she probably wasn't made to have proper emotions.
May 9, 201114 yr I thought Saturday's episode was so LAME. It was such a huge comedown from the previous two episodes - but I guess that's the same for most episodes which follow the darker ones. A definite filler for me, akin to 'The Beast Below' from Series 5, which was also lame and appeared strung together.
May 9, 201114 yr I thought it was worse than The Beast Below personally, I'm really struggling to think of any redeeming bits at all. The whole thing seemed rushed for the first half with practically everyone getting the spot and thus it losing any sort of impact, they showed you the Lily Cole character far too early in the episode also when they could have just been focusing on the characters a bit more. Pretty much awful in every respect. :|
May 9, 201114 yr I liked it but then I realised too many plot holes. 1. How could there be leeches on a ship sailing in salt water? 2. How could the captain recognise his son who didn't introduce himself and hasn't ever met him? 3. Why did the Doctor, Amy & Captain NOT get transferred to the sick bay like all the rest, since they were wounded? 4. What happened to the pirate that got cut by Toby? He disappeared, only to re-appear in the final scene.

He disappeared, only to re-appear in the final scene. How do you know the rest were directly transported to the sick bay? Maybe there was a period of time where the less urgent injured people were transported to where the Doctor & Co were. As for the other points I'd imagine most people wouldn't care enough to pick up on it. Are you sure the father had never met the son? Maybe he saw his wife in the son.....
May 11, 201114 yr IMDB are MASSIVE WANKERS and have credited the young girl with a name. NOTE THIS IS A POTENTIAL HUGE SPOILER BUT SINCE MY LIFE HAS BEEN RUINED I'M GOING TO RUIN YOURS TOO. Apparently, the little girl is Young Lucy Saxon. No idea how true it is.
