T-Pain now has, quite randomly, two songs in the iTunes top 40:

34. Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor) [feat. T-Pain] - Pitbull

38. Move That Body - Nelly, Akon & T-Pain

I noticed both these songs were racing up the charts yesterday and noticed they both feature T-Pain! To me, that is good news because I believe in the charts, he is very underrated in this country!

I'd like to think he was forced to do a song with Pitbull though :P :naughty:

Ah $h!t. Adele too! Britney's got a slight disadvantage though (being released a day later than the rest of them) Although, this week is the Britney episode of Glee. So maybe that will help her a bit? And if demand is as popular as they seem to think it is/we think it is, she should have no problem going top 3...But Bruno is falling next week to number 4 imo. (Behind Wretch, Adele & Britney - probably in that order) Next weeks battle is looking very interesting though and possibly 3 100k+ sales?

If Bruno doesn't retain #1 he'll only fall to #2 IMO. But I think he'll quite easily stay #1... we'll find out anyway

Yeah, if Just the Way You Are is anything to go by, Grenade could hang around for ages. :drama: I think Grenade is better than Just the Way You Are, but still not great. Most girls I know are completely in love with Bruno Mars now. It's actually frightening!

I haven't heard Rolling in the Deep yet. I like Make You Feel My Love though, and Chasing Pavements could've been worse...

And I doubt anything next week will sell over 100,000 tbh.

I hope adele beats britney next week.

But it might be another #2 for her. After all, uk is not really supportive to its own acts.

wonder if theyll give her new single an early release? if they do it will fly to no1, they should release her video and the dload at the same time - would be no1 for a month or so imo!!

I don't think there'll be any songs spending a month at #1 for some time.

Wretch 32 is going to number 1, isn't he? :(

Oh and apparently Britney's been pushed forward to be released Monday... Wretch 32 will win and be number 1, but Britney vs. Wretch 32 vs. Diddy vs. Avril (This is being released next week?)

EDIT: It's confirmed Britney IS released on Monday. Wretch still has the number 1 in the bag though, imo.

that new britney track is huge and its a big comeback - shell hit the top spot.bruno at 2,adle at 3 and wretch at 4/5 imo!!

when the britney video premiered - that will have a massive effect how long it stays in the top 10!!

I predict:

2. Adele

3. Britney

4. Wretch 32

8. Diddy Dirty Money

11. Jodie Connor

15. Avril Lavine

31. Aggro Santos

Shelli? :o ;)

Wretch 42 will do a Labrinth / Sidney Sampson and just graze the top 3 hopefully.

Wretch 32 :P

I think that's what will happen, it will obviously do well, but it hasn't got massive airplay and it's a busy week, so I reckon it will chart at 3 or 4 next week.

I hope not! :o I hope we can beat 2000 (it is 2000 that holds the record, isn't it?) for most #1s in one year this year.

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY on earth to release this week and YYYYYYYYYYY on Monday? the top spot is now officially gone, I hate everything and I don't get it, Y moving it from a great release date and Y on Monday if she want to release it this week??? is this true???

2)bruno mars 100k (how much is he on for this week, he's selling bucketloads aint he?)

3)adele 80k

4)wretch 32 50k

5)rihanna/drake 40k

top 10 - diddy

top 30 avril lavigne and aggro santos!!

nah i hate the lack of stability in the charts on years that have too many no1s.i like a good turnover but like the best songs to be no1 for a decent amount of time!!loadsa no1s just reminds me of the early noughties when westlife got to no1 with any old piece of turd!!

its good as long as the video is out soon on mtv!!the hype should help it reach no1 in itself!!

But they didn't even shot the video so Y?!

I'm sure songs have gotten #1 after a Monday release before. I think Matt Cardle might've done actually. And Shout last year got #1 when it was released on Wednesday or something. Bruno Mars would've probably got #1 this week, even if released on Monday.

If Britney's sales are high enough, there's no reason why she couldn't do it (although she's got a lot of competition in this case, it seems).
