It isn't even released for another week. Surely another no.1?

Exactly, the Tinie Tempah version isnt even available. I think top 3, and a long chart run.

"Shine a Light" hasn't sold well because of Taio Cruz's fanbase (like others have said, he doesn't really have one) - BUT I do have a feeling Taio's presence on the artist label gave it some much-needed credibility in the eyes of people who usually would never consider buying a McFly single. Even though everyone who bought it genuinely liked the song, I don't think we can conclude that that means they'd consider buying a normal McFly single purely because of their lack of credibility without a more respected artist like Taio Cruz alongside.

I think it depends on the song. I don't think That's the Truth will grab them as much, but I was flicking through Twitter after they band performed Nowhere Left to Run on Alan Carr's show, and the amount of comments I read from people saying things like "Wow, second McFly song I've liked in a row! Shocking!" etc. lead me to believe the song could have the same attention if they release it.

Whatever happens, the next few releases should be interesting.

Although, I completely agree about Taio's, well, I'd call it reputation in the music industry. He's quite cool really - I guess that's the word for it. Definitely added credibility. I do wonder how it would have performed if it was the McFly-only version on their album which was released.

Seems the Glee tracks are finally kicking it towards the botton half of the charts now, though. Seems to be going further and further down. So on the debate on whether or not its a help or a hinder having an older track there - I don't think it matters now!

wow good to see glee not performing overly well.thought at least 2 songs would have been top 10 considering the slower chart.wonder why it is?!!not that im disappointed!!

To be honest I loved the show but the only song that stood out was Telephone, Which is assume is why its highest at the moment. The other ones were good but Telephone seemed to stick in the mind. Of course there was no show stopper like Don't Stop Believin' last year.

I agree, quite a poor episode, no songs that i would download myself.

Eyes Wide Shut #12 Pushed down by Telephone (Glee) #11, if it gets top 10 it'll climb quite a fair bit. I dont think it should though, hope it doesnt.

Don't Stop Believin' got onto the playlists of some radio stations and got TV airplay, which is why it stayed around for so long, I suspect. I doubt that will happen to any of these tracks, or even any tracks in this whole season.

But I agree, no songs I'd want to get. I didn't even like the originals of any of them very much to be honest. I probably would've got Empire State of Mind if they'd used a combination of Alicia's and Jay-Z's verses, but it was almost identical to Jay-Z's version. :(

I've wondered that but everytime someone uploads the music video to YouTube, it's blocked by Universal Music Group unless they alter the pitch and make it sound like Alvin & The Chipmunks. -_-
