Wow at HAM. Is Jay-Z really that much of a bigger name than Kanye now? :( 'Runaway' was easily my favourite rap song of last year, should've been huge!

Because he decided to embarass someone who no one in the UK actually cares about meanwhile in the country where they actually care about that person he's absolutely huge like he deserves to be, best beatmaker in the business imo.

 

Hopefully All of The Lights will turn it around, afterall it does have Rihanna on it :P

Like you say, hopefully 'All of the Lights' will turn this era around for him...although if it does, it'll be a shame that it's having to rely on the big guest stars to do well over here. :(

JLS will probs peak at about 4 or 5 next week, then fall a bit and climb back up again after the physical I think. Such a shock to see H.A.M. already @ 12 after a mid-week release :o Not heard it yet but will give it a listen later! Not a huge fan of Kanye or Jay-Z but I like some of their songs and Monster was amazing, so I'll give it a go :)

wow at JLS, if this is just the album version thats climbing, they may as well cancel the Tinie Tempah one, or at least bring it forward! I'm pretty sure this is higher than where One Shot was this time last year?

In comparison, Eminem went top 3 on name alone when 'Crack A Bottle' was released in early 2009. :mellow: I wasn't aware of any promotion on radio and I never saw a music video for the track - the song itself was crap though compared to even 'Not Afraid'.

I really hope H•A•M continues climbing just a bit more and makes the iTunes top 10 - it'll be really frustrating if it ends up peaking at #11 on iTunes :drama: Although it's very unlikely to go top 10 officially either way, it'll do an Arctic Monkeys/Muse/Coldplay

It's the album version, but the Tinie version is the one on music channels/played on radio, so they shouldn't cancel it.. They need to bring it forward

Not Afraid itself also got to #4 (I think) on iTunes with basically no promo, and go to #1 on iTunes with a massive lead in the US (like Britney is doing in nearly every country in the world atm :lol:).

 

Then, there's famously Love the Way You Lie which got to #2 due to cherry-picking, and hence also had no promo at the time.

 

Surprised and pleased at H.A.M. :) It's clearly all down to Jay-Z though. Kanye has been putting out incredible songs which nobody has been buying. I guess people were bound to buy Jay-Z's next release, considering how big Empire State of Mind was...

I've been hearing it quite a bit on the radio the past few weeks, but it really shot up the chart when the video was premiered.

I thought One Shot never made the top 10 in Ireland? This is doing incredible! The video has been hammered on the music channels since friday but who knew it would have that much of an effect!

But yeah, it's shocking how much the video has made it sell. The radio airplay got it hovering in the top 300, then the video premiere causes it to go top 10! :o

Epic are officially the most annoying record label. They have a phobia of changing release dates :mellow:

Tbh JLS need their physical release next week or the week after, not in February, it'll propel it top 3/5 I think. If the release stays as it is, it'll just drop in a week or two, then climb back up to the top 10 upon single release.

Jay-Z and Kanye up to #10!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer: :wub: I'm really ashamed to say this, but I've not actually heard the song yet. But those two, very, very rarely disappoint me. :) I hope it's good!

 

And I hope Invincible can go top 10 on iTunes before the new releases on Sunday. The Black Eyed Peas and Adele might fall quickly over the next few days, so fingers crossed (even though I like both songs, but they've had their time (npi)).

I know it is, but I meant they haven't done any radio/tv appearances yet
