January 23, 201115 yr Good enough start for avril, i thought she would have been around #32 today so its good to see her in the top 30, at worst she will have a top 15 hit with this but i think top 10 is more likely.
January 23, 201115 yr iagree, pretty cynical move from radio 1 and taio cruz here, he got travie mccoy for the us market and kylie for here but radio 1 dont think kylie is cool anymore so play the travie rap as an appeasement to the us loving british public thats de 18!! Galaxy and Capital (and probably some other stations too) playlisted the Travie version of Higher BEFORE Radio 1 did, so I don't think it's fair to place all the blame on Radio 1 here... And I LOVED Girlfriend. :wub: First time I'm hearing this new song. Doesn't sound as good as Girlfriend yet.

January 23, 201115 yr Yeah, it's okay. People feel she's overrated, so even if Cheryl makes a genuinely good song, they'll still refuse to like it, and will criticize other people for liking it. For some people, since Cheryl isn't the best singer in the charts, they won't like her songs, even if she makes the best song of all-time. Basically, DON'T CUT OFF YOUR EARS!!! It's fine to like it. Ignore what the haters say. :) That said, I don't actually like this song. :lol: But I thought 3 Words was incredible. Very haunting and unexpected from Cheryl imo. Or maybe they just genuinely don't like her songs? :lol: I think most people can separate the artist from the song (well, I would hope). I was a massive Girls Aloud fan, but solo Cheryl is just awful. So is solo Nadine and Kimberley. To be honest, the only one who I would have been interested in is Nicola, so I'm looking forward to her solo album... the others were typical girl band singers really.
