Looking at the release sched, I think the following have a good chance at a number 1:

Jessie J ft. B.o.B. - Price Tag

Won't peak at number 1 right away, but once the airplay picks up and promo starts, it'll be HUGE!!!!!!

Britney Spears - Hold it Against Me

Once there's a physical and the vid's out, surely it'll fly to the top?

Katy Perry ft. Tinie Tempah - E.T.

As I'm sure that this is the single version remix, the two versions combined should be enough for at least top 3, with a chance of no.1 seeing as Tinie is really popular, and so is Katy. With Tinie on it, Katy could reach a further audience that she previously couldn't.

Black Eyed Peas - Just Can't Get Enough

Their singles always do well, and as the album hasn't sold as much, this has an even better chance as people won't already own it! With a good video, airplay etc. it could easily go to no. 1!

Willow - 21st Century Girl

Just from the clip, I'm liking it even more than Whip My Hair :o Lots of people thought WMH was annoying, yet it still got so close to no. 1, so hopefully this will be a step up and won't be so annoying, so can get her a number 1!

Rihanna - S&M

Despite being the 3rd single from her massive 3x Platinum album, you can tell this will be a hit, and may well give her her 3rd consectutive number 1 with the 'unexpected' video :o

Jennifer Lopez ft. Pitbull - On The Floor

She's been very MIA in the past few years, with Brave doing nowhere near as well as it could/should have but, as we've seen previously with Get Right, Love Don't Cost A Thing, Jenny On The Block etc. she is capable of a big hit, plus with AI to launch her new single, a number 1 is possible!

Lady Gaga - Born This Way

Even though we've only heard a 15 second live clip, this is a certain number 1 I think!

Wiz Khalifa - Black & Yellow

There's usually always a song that's big in the US yet doesn't get number 1 which crosses to the UK and does, and I think this could be it!

Albums wise...

Clare Maguire - Light After Dark

I can see The Last Dance doing quite well, and acts like her usually sell albums better than singles, plus she has loads of hype and is gathering a fanbase, so has a good chance, especially as it's a quiet time.

Avril Lavinge - Goodbye Lullaby

This could go either way tbh. She could do an Xtina and totally flop both singles/albums wise, but we all know she's a big albums seller, so even with WTH's flop, GL could be a number 1 and big seller.

Britney Spears - TBA

She's never had a number 1 album in the UK, but with all the hype and the amazing lead single, she could finally do it!

Jessie J - Who You Are

She's obviously very hyped and already has a fanbase and a number 2 smash, plus she'll soon add a number 1 to her tally. This is probably, along with Adele's 21, the most certain number 1 album this year!

Mary Byrne - TBA

She's apparently readying it in time for Mother's Day, so her inevitable collection of covers should sell shed loads, and quite possibly be a number 1.

So what do you guys think?

jessie j's new record is amazing! should definetly get to number one after all the success from DILAD. it features b.o.b who is quite popular, and it is released before the album so not many people will have heard it.

i reckon britney will have a similar chart run to womanizer, its a great song, already in the top 10 without a physical or video yet. hopefully it will get to number one

haven't heard katy perry yet, but i can see its a fan fave by all the excitment of it. also features tinie who is massive like you mentioned, and i don't see why it can repeat the same success as previous teenage dream songs.

haven't heard BEP's song yet either, but after the success of the time and other records, it should do good in the chart.

haven't heard willow's song, probably do alright as her family's famous and everyone seems to love will's children at the mo. i doubt she would do as wellas she does if it weren't for will.

rihanna will probably get to number one, its already doing pretty well for an album track and i haven't heard her perform it anywhere. after the success of her previous two records, i can't see why she couldn't do well with the track.

jennifer hasn't been around in ages, she could either be a hit or a flop. features pitbull and whenever a track features him it seems to do well.

lady gaga a definet number one, she is always huge and hasn't release anything since late spring/early summer last year.

Wiz Khalifa ????? if what you say is true, it could get to number one

Clare Maguire no comment, never heard her

avril's what the hell isn't doing very well, she may sell well with albums but if the lead single doesn't do well i doubt she'll get to number one, unless what the hell starts to sell a bit more.

britney could get to number one if HIAM sticks around (which it probably will). however, her other lead singles sell shed loads, but hasn't help the albums get to number one.

jessie j is probably going to be the star of 2011 imo, i think she will get to number one

mary burne, i loved her on the x factor, she could be the next subo - fantastic in the albums, but a bit of a flop in the singles

I think you're being a bit over-optimistic with Katy Perry, BEPs, Willow and Rihanna, but the others you listed all have a chance

I'll just list songs I think could challenge, looking at the release schedule, I know most won't likely get there, but its just who at this point could *challenge* for it:

Jan 30th: Enrique- Tonight (I'm Loving/f***ing You) Jessie J- Price Tag

Feb 6th: Chipmunk/Chris Brown- Champion Taio Cruz- Higher Eric Prydz shock hit?

Feb 13th: Chromeo/Elly Jackson- Hot mess JLS/Tinie Tempah- Eyes Wide Shut You Me At Six/Chiddy Bang- Rescue Me

Feb 20th: Clare Maguire- The Last Dance Take That- Kidz

March 6th: Tinie Tempah/Ellie Goulding- Wonderman, The Naked and Famous- Young Blood, Olly Murs- Heart on My Sleeve

March 13th: One Direction? :P

and looking at the coming soon: Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez will surely be big

Britney Spears - TBA

She's never had a number 1 album in the UK, but with all the hype and the amazing lead single, she could finally do it!

 Poor Britney, Im going to get her album first week now :)

Anyone know when Wynter Gordon & David Guetta - Dirty Talk is out? This has gone #1 in Australia and is pretty catchy.
I'm really hoping for a UK #1 for 'Black And Yellow'. I also hope it can eventually get to #1 in the USA.

From the next 4 weeks:

Enrique Iglesias - Tonight (I'm F**kin' You)*

Jessie J feat. B.o.B - Price Tag

// Chase & Status – No More Idols

Chipmunk feat. Chris Brown - Champion*

Modestep - Feel Good

Taio Cruz feat. Kylie Minogue - Higher* [when this version is released]

JLS feat. Tinie Tempah - Eyes Wide Shut* [when this version is released]

You Me At Six & Chiddy - Rescue Me†

Alexis Jordan - Good Girl

Britney Spears - Hold It Against Me [after the video is released]

Far East Movement - Rocketeer

// Glee Cast - The Music: Season 2 - Volume 4

I think these should be #1 contenders. Or reaches the Top 5/10. I think I missed some but oh well.

Lady Gaga - Born This Way single and album

Jessie J ft. B.o.B. - Price Tag: Eventual #1 perhaps.

Britney Spears - Hold it Against Me I think it could make the top 3 eventually, it won't go to #1.

Katy Perry ft. Tinie Tempah - E.T.: Low top 10 for this, but hanging around for quite a while.

Black Eyed Peas - Just Can't Get Enough: I see like top 30 for this if anything, the album is a flop and they had a lot to thank X-Factor for on the last single.

Willow - 21st Century Girl: #9 or so?

Rihanna - S&M: Top 5.

Jennifer Lopez ft. Pitbull - On The Floor: It's a good song, but she's over and this won't do much. Maybe top 20 at a push?

Lady GaGa - Born This Way: Unless GaGa severely buggers up, this should be a safe #1.

I think Yasmin's 'On My Own' could be one to watch out for, it's literally everywhere.

I don't know when they are out and what's their competitors!

Jessie J ft. B.o.B. - Price Tag Number 1

Britney Spears - Hold it Against Me Top 3 (if the video clip is really good, otherwise Top 5)

Katy Perry ft. Tinie Tempah - E.T. Top 3 (i don't know about that one, if it wasn't Tinie i would say Top 5 but it may be a number 1 contender)

Black Eyed Peas - Just Can't Get Enough (when Boom Boom Pow came out i said it was just a wrong song, then it came The time and i was like wtf are BEP thinking and now this...Black Eyed Peas have became such a cheap generic group nowadays! Missed Elephunk days!) Top 5 but i want it to FLOP so they stop recording these crap songs!

Willow - 21st Century Girl Top 20 (around 11-13)

Rihanna - S&M Top 5

Jennifer Lopez ft. Pitbull - On The Floor Number 1 (i think is something like the return of JLO after huge Flop periods, a sound that Europe including UK will love and i think the video may be quite good)

Lady Gaga - Born This Way Number 1

Wiz Khalifa - Black & Yellow Top 20

Jessie J ft. B.o.B. - Price Tag
I think the black eyed peas are in with a good shout for another #1 single.

I hope so! It's a really good song. But I dunno, I'm just getting a #2 vibe from it for some reason. It's a lot more mainstream than The Time, so I doubt it will be hated as much. But then again, will the The Time haters ever forgive the Black Eyed Peas?

Jessie J ft. B.o.B. - Price Tag: Will enter top 20 on release, and then fly to number one when the BRITS come on and she wins Critics Choice

Britney Spears - Hold it Against Me: She won't ever be number one, but I can see a top 3 peak and good sales

Katy Perry ft. Tinie Tempah - E.T.: I want this to flop, but it will more likely go top twenty

Black Eyed Peas - Just Can't Get Enough: Havent heard yet, but hopefully anoter top ten

Willow - 21st Century Girl: Havent heard this too, but I want it to flop

Rihanna - S&M: I want this to be number one, but it has number 2 written all over it

Jennifer Lopez ft. Pitbull - On The Floor: Top 40

Lady Gaga - Born This Way: Number One

Wiz Khalifa - Black & Yellow: Top 5

Jessie J ft. B.o.B. - Price Tag Number 1

Britney Spears - Hold it Against Me Top 5

Katy Perry ft. Tinie Tempah - E.T. Top 5

Black Eyed Peas - Just Can't Get Enough Top 5

Willow - 21st Century Girl Top 20

Rihanna - S&M Top 5

Jennifer Lopez ft. Pitbull - On The Floor Number 1

Lady Gaga - Born This Way Number 1

Wiz Khalifa - Black & Yellow Top 10

I'm really hoping for a UK #1 for 'Black And Yellow'. I also hope it can eventually get to #1 in the USA.

Me too

bandwagon

Jessie J ft. B.o.B. - Price Tag- I think number 1 or top 3 eventually, although not instantly

Britney Spears - Hold it Against Me- can't see this at number 1, I think 2 or 3

Katy Perry ft. Tinie Tempah - E.T. I'm pretty sure this will only get low top 10 at most- its the fourth single!

Black Eyed Peas - Just Can't Get Enough- Hmmm, this era has been a bit of a comedown overall, maybe top 10?

Willow - 21st Century Girl- really not sure on this one, could go either way

Rihanna - S&M- I think top 5, but no higher as it is the third single

Jennifer Lopez ft. Pitbull - On The Floor- I'm not sure she's entirely relevant, although top 10

Lady Gaga - Born This Way Number 1 unless she really mucks up

Wiz Khalifa - Black & Yellow- I need to hear and know more about it first, maybe a surprise hit?

I don't know why people expect such big things from the second BEP single, the fact there has been nil interest in the album or any standout tracks highlighted says it all.
