#1s aren't eveything :S, would you rather have a number one selling 50k total or a #2 selling a million... I think we'd all prefer the latter.

Yeah, remember that time Love the Way You Lie got to #1? :nocheer: But yeah, I supppose a (future) million-seller can't be too bad for him. :D Infact, LTWYL has to be one of the best-selling hip hop songs of all-time, surely?

Okay, I think I'm over-reacting a tiny bit. I'm going to try and move on. :D However much I die inside every time I Need a Doctor drops a place on iTunes. I don't know why I'm so bothered anyway. It's done far better than I was expecting. I thought it'd do like Kush.

Read what Michael said above. Also, you are over reacting a bit :heehee: It's the weekend, it's a new release, we all know what happens  Plus 'I Need A Doctor' is one of those songs that got released early etc... to benefit from rising airplay. It'll be fine and will eventually peak top 10 :)
Plus Dr Dre was never that big here... look in the US chart, Dre's #1 :D
Enrique down to #7?! :o :o :o :(

:o That's really sudden. Or are #3 - #7 really close?

Also, I just realized, the current #11 - #20 on iTunes are all incredible imo. Every single one of them, I absolutely love. I hope a glitch occurs and the whole top 10 on iTunes gets deleted.

Is Jessie dropping, or is Grenade climbing?

Either way her lead is still amazing :D

Rihanna  11

And WTC? is back up to #12 as well -w hat's with the random resurgence this time? Are they *finally* showing the video on music channels?

S&M  All the contoversy is working wonders! I don't think it would be as high without it tbh!

I believe the 'final' version has finally been released, which I assume is being played on music channels.

The new one is basically the 'day' version with added scenes of Guetta. God knows why it has taken them so long to release it.

S&M is #1 on Australia iTunes : http://itunes.apple.com/au/rss/topsongs/limit=10/xml

So it could do quite well here. Also, the next Black Eyed Peas single is #3 in Australia! :o Hopefully it'll do that well in the UK. :)

Also, E.T. by Katy Perry is currently #1 in New Zealand, so all 4 of her singles from Teenage Dream have gone #1 there! :o

I don't understand why this always happens in Australia

Forthcoming singles always chart extremely high weeks before anybody knows about them in the UK, usually before any of them even have music videos

I haven't heard Just Can't Get Enough played anywhere, or E.T., I wouldn't have known they were going to be singles if I hadn't seen it here, so Australian radio must be really ahead of the game!

really hope E.T does well in the UK, but its not as mainstream as her other singles :/

Yeah, I love it too - Highlight of the album, IMO. But unforch, I don't think it'll chart too well :/

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Like Just Dance and Poker Face both got #1 in Australia or New Zealend back in 2008. And Airplanes got popular there way before everywhere else too.

It is confusing. I'd like to live there, just to see what it's like. Perhaps since it's a small country, population wize, but also English speaking, record labels often release the songs 2-3 months earlier in Australia, to see if they'll be well-received? Or perhaps, since it's not such a big country, they have more freedom to release what they want? Like the radio stations can all playlist album tracks, or future singles really early, without the artist caring. Dance in the Dark and Monster by Lady Gaga both got released there, and charted, for example, even though they didn't get released in most other places in the world.

Or perhaps they try and do that in the US, but they simply can't. If one radio station there playlists a song like E.T., Dance in the Dark or Just Can't Get Enough, the country is just so big that it can't have an effect on the chart, whilst in Australia, it can?

population wize,

The word 'wise' does not have a freaking 'z' in it for the last time
