I already know (and have probably considered sending) 12 of these, but it definitely looks like a brilliant contest seeing as I love everything I know.

Has EVERYONE simultaneously decided to send their best entries in ages or something :mellow: I appreciate that there won't be much of interest to indie fans but for a pop lover like me, it's the highest quality contest in months. I was seriously losing interest in it after a poor quality of entries overall in the last few months (including some from myself) but this is a promising sign that the contest is getting back on track. I can't pick a winner here, but I could pick about 15 :P

I've heard six of these songs before, including my own. Although two of the six I'm not really familiar with...I vaguely remember listening to them once.

The only more surprising thing to me in this contest is PRoJ's entry - I had no idea Jester was into pre-teen girly pop :o

LOL, I decided to jump on the Pop bandwagon with a touch of a bluesy and jazzy sound.

 

Started listening to some, and so far over half of the quality is good

 

Right, been through everything at least twice.

 

I only rated 7 songs less than 8/10, one song scored 5/10 which was the lowest but the next lowest mark after that was 7/10, so a high quality all round. I think Only 3 songs broke the 9/10 barrier though, a lot of songs were 'very good' but not quite enough to push to 'amazing'. I'd say I've made four really worthy discoveries this month, but a lot of the songs that I love I did already know, or had considered sending myself at some point.

Voted, was near impossible to separate my top three but I'm happy now, all 9/10 moments at least :wub:

Because I'm busy all of next week working and won't have time! I've always voted within the first couple of days and never really regretted any of my decisions, I made sure I listened to everything quite a few times to be sure :D It was easier this month as I knew almost a third of the songs, decided instantly not to vote for the 7 which scored less than 8/10, so only had maybe 12-15 or so songs to get to know really well which didn't take long as I've had them on all last night and all day today!

I've heard only 4 songs not including mine :(

 

Mp3's are not coming from me this time, as i'm insanely busy with my work and studying at the same time.

She's in my Last.FM top 30! (which is pretty good considering how...old most of her material is) I've not listened to her albums thoroughly, but this is definitely an album track that stood out. I thought sending something from the 80s would be an interesting move. (ok, so I just couldn't think of anything new to send.)
