Oh hai product placement.

You can tell this was a pricey video with the clunky and nasty [in parts] product placement.

Over and above the irritating plentyoffish website which is getting round quicker than an STD at a brothel the video was superb.

Oh, and that extended break down  She has to release a video edit with the extended break down as that was amazing.

OH WOW. I (predictably) really, REALLY love it! Just two downsides for me though;

01. Too much stuff going on, but I think that's a part of the video and is purposely done.

02. THIS PART SCARES ME

WHAT'S WITH HER FACE? :(

But other than those really can't fault it. I particularly love the paint explosion part and the fight scene! Very well executed! GAH. I'll review it once the hype's worn off, but this really is one of her best videos of recent times!

Also. Are her vocals re-recorded? I dunno something about the second verse (in particular) sounds a bit more, natural?
I think the video is a "This is the story of Britney Spears: the artist", as just before the breakdown of the song, we see a crazy-like Spears figure. And she's constantly fighting herself throughout (like her inner demons).

''So this video was totally symbolizing her rise to fame with all her music videos playing as she was raised up in the dress, then when she fell back down, spraying the paint everywhere, and the joker smile was her breakdown and trying to act happy, and THAT AWESOME FIGHT SCENE was her fighting the bad parts about her away, and becoming herself again.''

Hmmm. This was definitely not worthy of the hype and I'm trying to judge it on it's merits as a music video, ignoring the fact it was hyped to death for pretty much no reason at all.

The fight between the two Britneys is an ICONIC moment and the whole thing looks glossy and expensive. But I think the dancing is lazy, she looks a bit like I would performing the choreography (bored and fed up) and the product placement is distracting. I think I actually prefer the 'Piece of Me' and 'Womanizer' videos to this, not to mention many of her previous ones. I'm not disappointed however because I never expect too much from Brit these days. Nice video.

(Don't hold it against me.)

I don't think I will, but I reserve the right to change my mind and begin BUMMING this video by the end of the day. (Always good to cover myself when it comes to Britney as I nearly always do a switcharoo.)
I think its fair to complain about the dancing because it was hyped up by the choreographer....but its not like that didn't happen with 3. Aside from that the dancing was still much better than we have seen in recent years and she looked so beautiful in some scenes, I love it.
I don't accept that we should continually be grateful because "the dancing is better than it has been for a while". She is BRITNEY SPEARS. Quit performing like you've just popped in for 5 minutes and are thinking about your grocery shopping and WOW US.

I f***IN LOVE IT! one of her best videos ever imo. I can't fault it, and I couldn't give a $h!t about the dancing.

The Queen of Pop is back!

Also this song should so been #1 for like weeks on end!

(Turning into a Britney loon)!

Have you seen her latest tweet?!:

Hope you guys love it as much as I do. If you didn't I'll kung fu kick you like I did to that chick in the video. about 8 hours ago via web

Haha!

As for the video, I love it! The whole idea and concept of the video is brilliant and it's a bit of a SPECTACLE I must say.

Yes, the dancing may not be up with her 'Slave' video but did anyone really expect it would be? I'm just pleased it looks like she was having fun.

Yeah the dancing is nothing spectacular, it's average at best. I woudn't even call it an improvement from her recent videos. Especially with all the hype, and Brian Friedman saying how amazing the dancing is... It's definitely disappointing.

That's just the dancing though. The rest of the video is amazing :D I especially love when she spaz's out and goes all Willow Smith flicking paint everywhere. And the fight scene? INCREDIBLE.

Shame about the product placement though :/ Radiance, I can deal with but the rest was just so irrelvant. At least GaGa, for example, manages to make it funny or slightly relevant to the story.

Anyway, definitely my favourite video of hers since Womanizer. And definitely up there with her some of her best :)

Actually if you think about it, most of the product is relevant to the music video.

If we consider the POF product placement, you could identify that with her looking for love (Kevin). I actually think Britney is using product placement ironically in her video (like "Womanizer") to remind people of how she was a product herself.

Wow :o I absolutely love the video  Her best video in a long time and has totally made me love the song more.

The video is alright. Not awful but nowhere near as incredible as expected.

Although I really like the bit when she's in the long white dress with the television screens around her showing her older videos :)
