Also, about Rihanna, I was reading somewhere that David Guetta's managers have been asking radio stations to stop playing Who's That Chick?, due to Rihanna being overexposed at the moment! :o If this is true, I think it's a good thing, as a lot of people are starting to get annoyed with Rihanna being absolutely everywhere, and as a Rihanna fan, I've enjoyed her utter domination of the charts the past 3 months, but at the same time, I don't want people to hate her.

Rihanna domination will continue all year, and her fanbase which is already huge will just continue to grow as t has done with the whole Loud era. :wub:

Lady Gaga being #1 every country is incredible domination, so are her managers going to stop telling people to play her song because she's 'overexposed', no, just no. lol

LOL at the latter part of your post though. Are they really? Sounds made up to me. Rihanna was everywhere with her GGGB era and GaGa's everywhere constantly so I doubt over exposure will harm Riri. Especially now GaGa's back with a new track :heehee: It's gonna seem like Rihanna's been away for a while compared, now.

Well, I read it in the news. It might not be true, but I don't know. A lot of them say "European" radio stations, which might not mean UK.

So Bray, I guess you think a 36 Hr chart is most likely? I'm sticking with the 24 Hr chart as it usually goes hand-in-hand with the midweeks and official chart positions.

I also think it *is* 36 hours rolling. From week to week without a fail all the releases start to stall exactly after 36 hours since their release.

Was the Tinie duet ever actually going to happen in the first place? They kept talking about it on the radio, but Tinie said it was never meant to happen. I think it was just the case of the media getting it wrong originally, so when they found out it wasn't actually happening, they just reported "Rihanna has decided to pull out" because, let's face it, they're not going to say "Sorry, we got it wrong. They never planned a duet". They did the same with Eminem. They said he'd perform at the BRITs, and when they discovered they got it wrong, they made up a story about him refusing to perform if he didn't get an award. I was really gutted too, because they were talking about that on the radio to millions of people, and most of them will probably believe it. :(

I don't know if it's true or not (well have to look at the European airplay charts over the next few weeks and see :lol:), but it's no unfeasible. It's happened before. For example, Justin Timberlake's record label decided not to have him credited on Where is the Love?, because if he had been, he'd've been overexposed at the time too.

No, I think it's a 48 hour chart.

USA music will always dominate. There are about 5 times as many people from the USA than there are from the UK.

 

British artists are in a much better place in the charts now than they were several years ago and that's all that matters. There are 4 songs by British artists in the top 10 which is better than usual. The top 40 on W/E 29 Jan 2011 consisted of 50% British artists.

Rihanna might have to do What's My Name? because they'll ask her to censor S&M, which I don't think she'll want to do. As if What's My Name? will outsell Umbrella! :o This time last year, I would never have imagined Rihanna would manage to do that with 3 songs in one year!

 

Pass Out will probably get another week in the top 40 then. :lol: Has that song actually left the top 100 yet? :lol:
