do you think it was right for chris brown to have the restraining order removed from rihanna?

 

I watched a video of Chris Brown and Rihanna in court, from back in 2009, and the judge was saying the distance that Chris Brown has to stay away from Rihanna (can't remember what it was), but then the judge said that due to the exceptional nature of their professions, that they can have the distance decreased for when their careers force them to be close to each other (e.g. award ceremonies). The judge also said that, depending on how things go, they can decrease the distances in the future. So perhaps things have gone well, and they're relaxing it a bit now?

 

But do I think it was right? I don't really know the whole story, so I probably shouldn't judge, but if everybody involved is okay with it, then I think it's fine to do.

 

Weird that What's My Name? is climbing. It fell last week, even with the BRITs. Not complaining though. :lol:

'What's My Name' is climbing because it's a quiet week, there's one new song above it, and two new-ish songs falling a lot faster than it is. I'd be shocked if it had increased sales to climb.

^ Yeah, that makes sense. It's probably just climbing because it has so much longevity compared to the songs above it in the chart. Should get 15 weeks top 20 then? :o

12 years without an albums 1-2, I'm very glad that it's about to happen again, and once again to an incredibly talented artist that hugely deserves the success.

Here's a question (hypothetical at the moment i grant you):

 

I'm of the opinion that at some stage in the next few weeks Adele could conceivably have the number 1 & 2 album in both the US and UK album charts. OK, not happened yet but seriously would YOU bet your own money against it happening?

 

So, assuming it does, I'm assuming the only chance of that ever happening before would be by The Fab Four? Anyone cast any light on it?

so Adele is likely to have the albums top 2, and the singles number 1 and number 4- seriously, she is just unstoppable, I don't remember the last time anyone had *this* amount of success, its just unbelievable :o

 

The Beatles spring to mind, in that respect.

 

Maybe Lonnie will cover this achievement in a ChartsPlus commentary next week?

 

NB, this week he updated the list of 'climbs to #1 from outside the top 10' list - there have been 63 songs to have done so, although some not *genuine* climbs, thanks to leaks/imports.

I was shocked last night when I saw how relatively poorly Jessie J is selling in the pre-order charts and on amazon. Unless she gets a massive shop-bought bounce I'm no longer sure she will be a huge album seller. Still may sell enough first week to take it, though. Elbow could definitely do it, though.

I'd be surprised if Elbow didn't do it to be honest. It'll probably depend on how much Adele is selling, if it's below 100k by then Elbow will stand every chance....

She won't be at #1 and #2 in the US. She'll get #1 this week definitely, but 19 isn't going to see a massive boost. Bieber is still selling 100k+ and 19 won't be able to. I doubt 19 will sell more than 10-20k.

Too bad Kidz isn't doing as well as I'd hoped. Top 30 is still good, but it is such a good song. Much better than The Flood.....should've been the 1st single.

I agree. The Flood was so boring, whilst Kidz is quite the opposite.
