February 23, 201115 yr I get the feeling these days that there is already massive tension with Robbie's antics so maybe they don't want to get together too often? Hardly.
February 23, 201115 yr So good for Adele, hope she can get number 1 single and number 1 & 2 in albums :)
February 23, 201115 yr Wonder if there's missing data today, otherwise what the hell are Beady Eye doing top 40  There was a vinyl released this week
February 23, 201115 yr I think Bewitched or the Corrs did it Yeah The Corrs did it. Dunno about Bewitched. It's still a huge achievement nontheless...
February 23, 201115 yr Adele could get 1 & 2 then :o Incredible Beady Eye would be back in the top 40 because their physical was released this week.
February 23, 201115 yr I dont think take that will even go top 20 now with kids, i never expected it to be a huge hit or anything but i was sure it would manage top 20. Good to see Arcade Fire still top 15 in the albums.

February 23, 201115 yr Author Brits and Glee make Official Chart impact The Brit Awards continue to have an impact on this week’s Official Charts, along with Gwyneth Paltrow’s appearance on Glee, according to the latest Official Chart Update. Driven by sales of its Brit Awards live performance download, Adele’s Someone Like You continues to lead the way in the Official Singles Update, outselling its biggest rival by 70% - Jessie J Feat B.O.B.’s former number one Price Tag. The other big impact on the chart is actress Gwyneth Paltrow, as part of the Glee Cast, who is set to make two Top 40 entries to the Official Singles Chart this Sunday, following her performance on More 4’s Glee on Monday evening. February 23, 201115 yr If Adele is outselling Jessie by 70% there's absolutely no way Jessie will overtake, especially as Adele is still #1 combined on iTunes so that lead will increase again tomorrow and probably on Friday as well - Jessie might be ahead even combined near the end of the week but she'll need a huge lead to overtake officially which isn't going to happen.
February 23, 201115 yr What a flop for Take That but I actually don't think they are bothered about getting top 10 as The Progress has been massive. But if an act isn't bothered about chart position ... why bother releasing a single? Kath
February 23, 201115 yr Because singles are promotional tools for albums/way of keeping it in the public eye and maintaining sales! I'm sure they won't exactly be ecstatic about Kidz missing the top ten though, especially with the Brits promo for it. Particularly when they went to the effort of offering a b-side and a remix this time, more than they did for The Flood!

I'm sure they won't exactly be ecstatic about Kidz missing the top ten though, especially with the Brits promo for it. Particularly when they went to the effort of offering a b-side and a remix this time, more than they did for The Flood! Even more of a reason then for them to actually try and promote it. A video has been done but we're told it won't be available until next week. I doubt it'll be in the top 20 come Sunday.
February 23, 201115 yr But if an act isn't bothered about chart position ... why bother releasing a single? Kath I see your point, but maybe they're single in the hope someone likes it and buys the album (still aint bought it as i dont buy albums from one single)
February 23, 201115 yr If she is selling 70% more than Jessie I expect Jessie's sales to have dropped to 80k and Adeles sales to be 200k or more by Sunday :o
February 23, 201115 yr If she is selling 70% more than Jessie I expect Jessie's sales to have dropped to 80k and Adeles sales to be 200k or more by Sunday :o That doesn't add up
February 24, 201115 yr If she is selling 70% more than Jessie I expect Jessie's sales to have dropped to 80k and Adeles sales to be 200k or more by Sunday :o If Jessie's on 80k, 70% more would be around 130k.
