March 9, 201115 yr Adele's lead is still HUGE in the single chart (above 100K again this week) and her album sales gonna be 150K again.
March 9, 201115 yr Author Adele has definitely got it in the bag for this week in the singles chart, next week it be tougher with the Comic Relief single, I should imagine the CR single will increase in sales at the end of the week, charity singles usually are slow burners at the beginning of the week until the show is broadcasted on Friday. If she sells more than 130k this week, she could actually spend a 5th week at the top with her performance on Comic Relief next Friday. At the moment its early doors. To be honest I'd rather see a single at #1 for a few weeks rather a changeable #1 every week. Hope we get more long stayers at #1 this year.
March 9, 201115 yr So Someone Like You is looking to be #1 for a WHOLE MONTH? :w00t: :w00t: When was the last #1 single at 4 weeks, was it 'The Fear' Lily Allen? :o Edited March 9, 201115 yr by Karma
March 9, 201115 yr What part of the top 30 are Mcfly? They have now added their ep and single version to I tunes after a few problems
March 9, 201115 yr I'm just more and more astonished at Adele's success. She deserves it as her talent is immense and she got a really hard time when 19 was released and everyone questioned why she won the Sound of prize and not Duffy. Both are fantastic artists though. Hope Someone Like You can hold next week too. I'm not sure if The Wanted could do it, i dont know what the comic single is this year though

March 9, 201115 yr Glad to see McFly on the rise. On the other hand, poor Britney! Move your beautiful ass and come urgently to the UK please! Edited March 9, 201115 yr by Jason
March 9, 201115 yr People keep saying Britney should come to UK and promote, what shows would she promote on? And she'd probably mime and do more of a harm to her singles and reputation then benefit so its probably best she doesnt.. in the least offensive way possible. Has she performed in America yet or any interviews? Havent seen anything.. Mcfly on Alan Titchmarsh today, should help a little. Edited March 9, 201115 yr by Karma

Yeah... when X Factor or Britain's Got Talent aren't on, there's no significant promotional opportunities anymore. "Promotion" would do f-all for Britney's singles... she just ain't popular anymore.
March 9, 201115 yr I'm guessing Alexis Jordan is still at #6 or has she dropped to #7 now? Can somebody inform me please?
March 9, 201115 yr What part of the top 30 are Mcfly? They have now added their ep and single version to I tunes after a few problems I heard on Radio 1 they are #27 The Pierces - the new Fleetwood Mac - are new at #33.

March 9, 201115 yr Just think. if Adele hadn't performed at the Brits we could be looking at Price Tag for a 6th week at #1 this week! Thank God for Adele!!
March 9, 201115 yr Radio 1 Chart Update on soon. Wiz may get to No6-No8. No, all the positions will be the same, the Radio 1 Chart Update is the same as the Wednesday midweek update ie. sales from 00:00 Sunday to 23:59 Tuesday. Anyway, good to see Wiz in the top 10 today, hopefully top 5 by the end of the week :D Even if that does prevent Adele from a fourth consecutive week of double double top 5s. Tinie & Ellie still at #11. :( I'd rather they be #12 (although obviously they'll ideally be top 10 but I don't think that'll happen) Edited March 9, 201115 yr by Bray

Yeah I wouldn't think SLY would be where it is if it wasn't for the Brits. Plus Adele wouldn't have got her long awaited and deserved first no.1 if it weren't for the Brits either.
March 9, 201115 yr Top 5 album sales will be good this week, music report mentioned adele's 19 has passed the million mark and up until last week it was 15,000 away from hitting the million,so if the number 5 has sold 15,000+ in 2 days its looking promising for strong top 5 sales overall this week.

March 9, 201115 yr What's the record of a singer/band having two Top5 singles at the same time e.g. How many weeks in a row did they manage?
