Posted March 8, 201114 yr Once upon a time this forum was quite the community, and i feel that the eroding of this community is at least partially responsible for the activity levels in this forum plummeting. So, over the next couple of months we're going to do are best to regain that spirit and make this forum great again. To do this, we will quit meddling with the rules to allow for some consistency in an attempt to bring back the participants and do things to encourage people to post more and interact with each other. Once upon a time results threads used to race through 30pages, i'd like to see us return to there and now that the Kopeck reign has been replaced by an Ashtonise one i believe we can do it. Mainly because i am not donating all of my time to the lounge. So, the first stage of BJSC Recovery is this. A BJSC CD Swap. I really hope you'll all sign up to this, and to make sure this is a success there is one rule. - You must be a registered and active participant of the Buzzjack Song Contest. This CD Swap is open to any one who has been a member of Buzzjack for 6months [as per the BJSC Anti-Alias regulations] and who has a registered BJSC Country that is participating in either BJSC XXXII or BJSC XXXIII. As the deadline for sending the CD's in will be during the 33rd contest the CD swap is open to anyone providing they participate in BJSC XXXIII That's it. We are trying to build community spirit here so we are making this open exclusively to members of the community. If your interested let us know in this thread so we have an accurate reflection of numbers. [There will of course be one or two restrictions on the CD content, after all having a CD filled with Lady GaGa or Katy Perry isn't going to introduce anyone to new music. Tone Damli Aaberge is acceptable at all times] Muchos love, Your BJSC Moderators.
March 8, 201114 yr Great idea, I'm definitely interested, love CD Swap's  I don't just pad them out with my BJSC rejects and 'could have been's', honest!
March 8, 201114 yr I'd take part if I can find enough songs which I don't think are too cheap. Sometimes struggle to find something unknown for a normal edition, that I actually like.
March 8, 201114 yr I found it quite hilarious that in last year's CD swap, me and Pavel got each other's. Caroline Af Ugglas gave the game up straight away
March 8, 201114 yr I will try and take part! Like Jack said, sometimes i struggle to find something.. and I'm in that periode now :o :( Maybe I can get a little inspiration now :D

March 8, 201114 yr Indeed! She suddenly became as popular, famous and loved as Lady GaGa. I've started to read your post how Tricia Takanawa would've pronaunced it  like she have nose congestion :P and in a raporter way
March 9, 201114 yr Oooh. This sounds very interesting! So it's basically going to be a CD of the songs that we were considering on entering but didn't? Or is it of our favourite BJSC entries etc...?
March 9, 201114 yr I think you can put on whatever you like Jonjo, but the point is that it's music you think people wouldn't have heard before. At least I hope that's what it is - I don't have mp3s of most of the songs I've considered entering :(
March 9, 201114 yr Author We don't really want a CD of all your BJSC entries, or selected highlights for those of use that have been here a while, like the contest the aim is to introduce people to new music so the more non-BJSC entries the better. It's worth keeping in mind that a lot of people have already heard the BJSC entries, but we won't stop you from using a few [Like a certain 'Fight The Sky' some people may not have heard]
March 9, 201114 yr I'm in, sounds intreeging  And should have a few worthy tracks up my sleeve ^_^ But I wonder though how exactly are we supposed to do this? I've heard about CD swaps several times before, but never actually done one

March 9, 201114 yr I don't know if I will do this or not actually, I did something similar on another site, and I got about five CDs but I only ever got around to sending one back
March 9, 201114 yr I don't know if I will do this or not actually, I did something similar on another site, and I got about five CDs but I only ever got around to sending one back  We only get/have to review one each on here, whether you request the link to anybody else's is entirely optional. For anyone new to this/has no idea what it is by the way - we don't technically swap CD's, we make a playlist as if it were a CD a la no more than 80 minutes long, upload it to a file sharing site like Mediafire and the link gets sent to your recipient - so there's nothing involved with literally sending anything in the post, as the format might suggest, it's actually very simple and enjoyable :D
March 10, 201114 yr I'm interested. I may do a compilation of forgotten BJSC classics and infamous nearly-entereds.
March 10, 201114 yr *thanks to Rich for the explanation* I'm up for this :) Do we get natched to a random person to sweap with then?
March 10, 201114 yr Author *thanks to Rich for the explanation* I'm up for this :) Do we get natched to a random person to sweap with then? You will PM the 'CD' to me and i'll send it to a random so you don't know who you're getting or who got your's. I was going to explain it all properly in the thread when i opened it.
