I don't think Nicole will be number 1 now - Adele is will likely overtake her tomorrow, and with the Comic Relief performance, she'll likely sell more than her this week. If the Wanted get a big enough boost, Nicole could do a Saturdays :(.

I think Nicole has the #1 fairly safe now unless Adele's boost from CR is absolutely ENORMOUS. I don't really mind which is #1 as I like both songs.

 

I just hope that if Nicole does get #1 she has some longevity as this has so far been a year of no non-#1s (I'm going to count Ke$ha as not being a non-#1) and I'd like that to continue :P

Islands In The Stream did it in 2009, following the Saturdays not doing it, I can't see how this would be any different

Yeah, the comedy CR single has gone to #1 three out of three times and I can't see that run ending this year. Remember Peter Kay was #1 for 2 weeks, both times with sales over 100k, with his CIN Medley and that never even went top 10 on iTunes so even if IKHSW flops digitally it's almost certainly guaranteed #1 with physical sales.

 

I think comedy CR singles, X Factor Finalists charity singles and X Factor winners' singles are all guaranteed #1s every time.

It's wishful thinking :lol:. I'm not sure I want Geraldine at number 1.

I'd like to see IKHSW at #1 to be honest just so SuBo can claim a #1 single as well as two #1 albums :D I suppose it would be a non-#1 but it's slightly less annoying when it's for charity and it should get decent first week sales at least.

 

Sweat is #20 :o Scott's ROTW is really helping it a lot, hopefully it can become Snoop's first top 10 single as a lead artist since 'Signs' in 2005. :D It's gone top 10 on Irish iTunes so I wouldn't rule out it doing the same in the UK soon.

 

Also The Vaccines are at #48 :D I'm surprised how well it's doing as an album track, this gives hope for it going top 40 next week. Probably still unlikely though.

Will Morning Star go top 40? It seems to have been floating around outside it for dangerously long now, I can see it just missing out. Then again, I never expected Say It's Over to go top 40 and that ended up peaking at #20. MS isn't their best song but it's far far better than BB and Girls and should have been the first single, so I hope it can go at least top 40.

I think they shouldn't have put the Kanye version up for download yet tbh. They should've saved it for later on to get it a higher peak (think Higher, Eyes Wide Shut, etc.) imo.

I agree. Even though I don't like Kanye on it, I'd still would've liked E.T. to have had some success. :(

E.T has not even been playlisted by Radios yet and the Video is not even out. It was Number 1 on US Itunes and looks set to go Number 1 in the US Hot 100 without a Video..

 

Without a DOUBT E.T will be top 10 in the UK. The video effect will be massive. :P
