I know Shadow.. It's so frustrating being a Saturdays fan! It could have helped Headlines re-enter the top 40 aswell no doubt.

Yet another blow to the campaign.

However, when someone anounced the line-up on Twitter they didn't mention them...

@markmeets Celebs performing on BGT next week include: Amanda Holden (A song from Shrek), Avril Lavigne, Chris Brown, Jessie J & Nicole Scherzinger!
And then...

@markmeets After a long absence, The 'Sugababes' are finally making their long awaited comeback with a performance on BGT next week too!

He even quoted 'Sugababes' haha.

Chris Brown is banned from the United Kingdom though?

Avril Lavigne? Oh dear :( Dissapointed for Saturdays. Seems as if their label would rather push the Sugababes!!

2 Megastars on Saturday. Jesus it's nice that he thinks Saturdays are Megastars.. looks like Gaga and somebody else!!

I'm getting bored of being a Sats fan now. :( It's constant doom and gloom, with so much missed opportunities. :( I can't believe Sugababes will be performing over The Saturdays, that's a complete joke.

This will simply mean that even MORE songs will overtake Notorious in the charts. And then on the week of release, the label will just throw them on Daybreak and Alan Titchmarsh, release the CD, watch the song rise from #39 - #32 (or something) in the charts and then fall back down and then they'll start calling Notorious a 'huge summer smash' and they'll completely mess up the second single as well.

WHY CAN'T THEY HAVE JUST ONE SUCCESFUL (i.e not just scraping the top ten and selling 300K, because the likes of Katy Perry are selling 300K with their fourth singles) SINGLE?!?!? :(

Sugababes aren't signed to Polydor?

The Sats really need to get out of Fascination Management. They really don't seem to push for The Sats half the time - and considering The Sats are the only (?) client of Fasc.Management they're not doing a great job in pushing Notorious so far.

I agree with shadow.. Doom and Gloom. They aren't getting a push they deserve. They're very high profile but that can't seem to get a massive push.... Headlines has outsold everyone apart from Jessie J. Wordshaker even outsold Sweet7 !!

Yeah I know but Sugababes have less intrest in The Saturdays.

This is really like The Wanted all over again :^) I'm suprised as ITV seem close with The Saturdays :(

I like both bands but tbh 'the 'babes' need it a lot more then 'The Sats. They've got a major uphill battle to get people to take to 4.0. But it's great they managed to get top 10. With the rate it was dropping I was concerned it wasn't going to make it but it did! :cheer: I think this can easily become their best selling 'first single' from an album (But that's not hard tbh lol)

+1

i am sugababes fan but i think that they needed it more :( sats are mega band now and they don't need it, i mean #8 WITHOUT promotion is amazinG!!!!!!

i don't think that this will help sugababes a lot, they will peak in top 10 :(

The Saturdays could be the next big thing though! They need the promotion to go the extra distance. Going 8th is very good i admit but look at how it plummets this week and when they do promotion it will be the same thing they do each time... Alan Titermash, Loose Women, This Morning. The only time they had a chance of going far was at Dancing On Ice performing Ego.. but That only targets the older audience more than the younger audience.
It's not the Sugababes' fault they've got a slot instead of The Saturdays! That's that, enough with this comparison or complaining, it's pretty annoying to read.

LOOL, so were they planning on thinking that because they're such an amazing, massive act, one tiny performance on a dance show that most people don't really recognize anymore would be enough to solidify their sales until the physical release a month later? =/ I'm annoyed because I'm beginning to think they got a bit complacent and a bit big for their boots and wasted a potentially amazing single that would've elevated them to the next level.

I can only hope that there's something bigger going on that we don't know about otherwise they're just plain dumb and fans like myself will rather spend their funds on artists who will keep fighting the good fight.

Nobody is really comparing them though? Most Saturday fans are just annoyed that they didin't get a slot and are comparing them to everybody who did get a slot not just sugababes :)

I fully agree with everything you said there, but it seems to be their management. They went on holiday last week during their promotion as did Frankie. I think The Saturdays should leave their label go to Gravity or something as they will be high demand. Polydor is full of flops apart from Cheryl Cole!

My guess was only 1k out :D

There's a chart someone posted in the Chart Forum which is supposedly a good indicator for midweek positions, and Notorious is down to 21 :( I hope they somehow climb to 15 at least by Sunday, but I can't see how - they'll only fall further without BGT surely? :( They won't do much better than Parade did with Louder at this rate!

With the exception that Louder had burned off its aiplay and casual sales...Notorious has a lot of time to sell, and the great first week sales it had with no airplay and one performance just proves how great it's going to do. When it enters the top40 airplay we'll see it more stable.

If it helps The Saturdays are increasing.. they were 18.4% This morning and were looking likely to fall.

14 Swedish House Mafia Save the World (Radio Mix) 21.2%

15 Jennifer Lopez On the Floor (Radio Edit) 21.1%

16 Templecloud One Big Family 20.7%

17 Nicole Scherzinger Right There 20.5%

18 The Saturdays Notorious 19.1%

I predict this week they will drop to 16th as they will only keep climbing this week Imo! They will NOT drop out top 20. however Judas is above them combined leaving them at 19th... But One Big Family will no doubt drop!
