It won't go down in music history really (not especially) - there were alot of bigger albums in the 90s and 00s to compare plus 7 weeks at #1 is not that unusual if you look back over the years :P

 

I think it will :o It's clearly not done at #1 yet, and to have such consistently high sales in Jan-March is unbelievable, especially seeing as she's got two consecutive top ten hits the whole time. The likes of Corrs/Shania/Alanis may have had huge albums but rarely had simultaneously huge singles, and certainly not two at the same time.

Well, if it continues to hold on at the top it will be comparible to other long running #1 albums - James Blunt springs to mind really!

Do you think Comic Relief will have an big impact on the charts next sunday? Do you think SuBo/PeterKay will be in the chart next sunday.

Honestly, still not mad on this.

Wiz Khalifa is top 5 :D Hopefully he's made #4. Still underperformed quite severely but hopefully it'll at least have some longevity and decent sales in the long run.

i disagree, i would rather radio 1 existed rather than a private company like capital - at least the bbc is accountable to the taxpayer.rihanna would get played by capitakl for a fair while yet, shes one of 'the'pop stars of this chart era....she would continue to be played for a fair while after her first flop.and the songs radio 1 playlist and play loads are all mainly 'indie' artist that dont necessarily chart in the top 10 but they play them because if they just played the stuff that goes top 10/20 they would be playing the same genre of music - rnb/pop/dance all the time there would be no indie/alt on the radio!! :(

 

Well, unlike you, I appreciate both stations, and the role they play. :) I'm listening to Radio 1 right now for goodness sake! :D It's not like I know nothing about it. I'm well informed about both stations, and I prefer Capital. I know this can be hard to accept for some people, but that's my opinion.

 

I know that Capital will play a Shakira song, or an Alexandra Burke if it gets popular. I can't guarantee Radio 1 will.
