March 14, 201114 yr It’s 20.00 on Tuesday 14 March and so here’s the moment some people have been waiting for, the results of the Buzzjack YTD Prediction competition. First, thanks to the 22 people who entered. A quick reminder of the game. You were asked to predict the top 20 Year To Date singles and albums charts as announced yesterday. The albums part has been changed to a top 19 as one of the albums on the release schedule wasn’t released. The prizes are iTunes vouchers - £50 to the winner, £25 to the runner-up and £15 for third place. Before I start on the results I can reveal that, if it was based on the singles chart alone, we would have had a tie for first place :o . I can also tell you that neither of those people has won first prize. The contest for the prizes was very, very close. I have double checked the entries and the actual positions. *Monday, the day before Tuesday! :kink:
March 14, 201114 yr Author The first deliberate mistake  And so to the results. In time-honoured fashion, I shall do them in reverse order. 22nd +Michael - Singles 255, Albums 204 Total 459 21st Jack - Singles 104, Albums 67 Total 171 20th Bray - Singles 121, Albums 36 Total 157 19th Hitstastic - Singles 97, Albums 48 Total 145 18th Theo - Singles 29, Albums 104 Total 133 17th Dandy* - Singles105, Albums 25 Total 130 16th Tom Kay - Singles 87, Albums 39 Total 126 A bit of a nightmare for +Michael who grossly overestimated the popularity of several singles including those by Justin Bieber and Wiz Khalifa. Bray and Dandy* did very well on the albums but also thought Wiz Khalifa would do a lot better. On the other hand, Theo got a good score on the singles but thought Clare Maguire’s album would be a big seller. Thanks for playing. You’ve been great contestants.
March 14, 201114 yr :o Thought Bray, Hits and TomKay would all be top five, they've always been pretty good at chart predicting!
March 14, 201114 yr Author Is Jack the other Jack, or myself? I'd be surprised if I'm higher than that :o The other Jack
March 14, 201114 yr Author Moving on. 15th Juranamo - Singles 51, Albums 52 Total 103 14th ElectroBoy - Singles 48, Albums 51 Total 99 13th Chart Wizard - Singles 41, Albums 40 Total 81 12th Shelli - Singles 50, Albums 24 Total 74 11th daniel GaGa - Singles 41, Albums 20 Total 61 Three players with consistent scores. Shelli and danielGaGa did well on the albums but were let down by the singles. Both of them can blame Alexis Jordan. Thanks for playing. You’ve been fantastic contestants.
March 14, 201114 yr 20th? $h!t. Was I really let down *that* much by placing Wiz in the top 20? Edited March 14, 201114 yr by Bray
March 14, 201114 yr ah well, at least I wasn't bottom 5  best of luck to everyone else :D Edited March 14, 201114 yr by chart wizard
March 14, 201114 yr Top 10 Shocker! Are the points the amount of places they were off the correct positions? If that is the case, that would explain why people who predicted Wiz are so far down.
March 14, 201114 yr I knew Wiz had destroyed my chances! It was a last minute addition too, will be interesting to see where I would have finished if I hadn't have added it in.
March 14, 201114 yr :o Thought Bray, Hits and TomKay would all be top five, they've always been pretty good at chart predicting! The YTD is really difficult though. And I have literally NO IDEA about albums, not surprised they were much worse than my singles (though I also put in Wiz Khalifa :drama:)
March 14, 201114 yr Author Top 10 Shocker! Are the points the amount of places they were off the correct positions? If that is the case, that would explain why people who predicted Wiz are so far down. Yes. It's just the sum of the differences between the prediction and the real position.
March 14, 201114 yr Author And so, into the top ten. 10th Jack Sykes - Singles 34, Albums 23 Total 57
March 14, 201114 yr Yes. It's just the sum of the differences between the prediction and the real position. That seems a bit unfair for us who voted Wiz :( I was under the impression it'd be the difference between what we put and #21 if we predicted something not in the top 20. If I'd know about that I wouldn't have put Wiz in there.

To be fair to Suedehead, the rules did say that it would be the top 100 and that our score would be the difference between the real position and our guess.
