March 29, 201115 yr 65k for On The Floor - hopefully it will beat Grenade :puke: sales and becoming a big seller. It screams 3 weeker too, nothing is out in the next few weeks to beat it and Adele won't re-gain the top spot on the singles again. :D No-one expected Jenny to have a bigger comeback than Lady GaGa but the impossible has just happened!

March 29, 201115 yr Really good opening day sales for J-Lo- the song is actually really growing on me :o I hope it does beat Grenade's sales- just because it would be pretty amazing to have two 150k+ first week non charity singles within the first three months of 2011 Enrique climbing :mellow: hopefully that won't last ghalbum chart will change dramatically with the Mothers day effect, Adele could get her highest weekly sales yet :mellow: I can see Radiohead and Britney falling quite a bit by Sunday sadly, and Mary Byrne could rise- of course, after that, I doubt we'll ever hear from her again :heehee:

I doubt they'll go over 40 tbh, it'll be pretty frontloaded with fans going out to get the physical copy (Radiohead fans strike me as the type who like that kind of thing?) and "In Rainbows" only sold 44k first week.

The only saving grace is that it is easily her best album to date along with 'Blackout'. Apparently she is doing international promo starting next week.

March 29, 201115 yr 65k :o :o :o That would have been a ridiculously impressive first week sale for somebody who hasn't had a proper hit in six years. But to sell that in the first two days is incredible, she's back! Here's hoping she's not just here for one more hit before disappearing again. I echo the sentiments of others that it's nice that genuinely huge songs can command massive sales again, it was so disheartening to see songs that on the surface seemed huge in the mid 00's open their account with such terrible sales. I vividly remember being impressed by the opening week sales of J.Lo's last UK #1, Get Right - 50k :lol: It seems pathetic these days but after 2003/4's run of 20-30k selling #1's, it seemed amazing back then!

Thought she'd get a big mothers day boost and hopefully will still happen but it'll need to be at this rate. What were her sales last week on tues/what was the sales pattern last mothers day anyone? Were things very backloaded?
