So what would be your ideal 5th Single? I personally want it to be 'Last Friday Night'. It would be the best choice IMO, very radio friendly, If it was released i'd imagine it would probably hit top ten in the UK and it's most likely to hit 1 in the US than the others IMO. ^_^

'Last Friday Night' easily, hopefully not 'Peacock'! I think if that re-release is happening then 'E.T.' will be the final release off this edition before it...

I really hope this get's a release before the re-release! :( or else this will be another 'If You Can Afford Me' :(
I want it to be that Rihanna duet! It better be true and it better be their next singles! (After 'E.T.' and 'California King Bed' - obviously :P)
She needs to sell albums. California Gurls, Teenage Dream and Firework were HUGE singles (top five in practically every single country) but did nothing for the album except keep it steady in the charts. E.T is already entering the top ten in various countries as well, and we have no idea if it's going to boost the album at all (although it SHOULD, as it's a sort of ballad). If she releases another single before the re-release, it should be 'Pearl'.
Based on the tour performances, I'd choose 'Hummingbird Heartbeat', 'Not Like the Movies' or 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)', but I chose 'Not Like the Movies' as we've already had four up-beat/mid-tempo singles and we need some diversity in the single releases!

I seriously hope she doesn't release another single from this album. All released thus far have reached number 1 in America! What an achievement. Anywho,

I would personally choose "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" Probably the most listenable out of the list. The rest are really dire.

I'd vote for Circle The Drain.

I'd be happy with Peacock or Not Like The Movies aswel though

LFN is probably the best choice, but there hasn't been a proper slow song so far, though I don't know how 'Pearl' or 'Not Like The Movies' would do chart wise.

No re-release thank you very much, the album has sold very well, it doesn't really need it. Of course I'd love a Rihanna/Katy duet though. And if she does re-release, I'll ship the separate CD from America most likely

I'd rather her not release another single, just wait for the re-release. But if had to choose one, it'd have to be 'Peacock'.

What? Keeping the album steady in the charts isn't "doing anything for the album"? Would you rather it went something like 1-3-14-37-59-24-9-9-4-28-48-55-75 etc.? I'm sorry, but your statement, imo, is ridiculous. The singles have helped the album out just as much as each other. Also, on Sunday she climbed 2 spots to 31 and is inside the Top 30 in todays mids. The album is doing brilliantly. It's yet to leave the top 40, isn't it?

Can't believe I'm the only person to say 'The One that Got Away' :o
I'm going for that too! :D

Part of Me > The One That Got Away

I don't really understand how 'Part of Me' was left-over. Both have very similar structure and production but I find the former far superior - and we've only had the demo.

I wasn't only referring to the UK charts. Her album worldwide peaked high with good sales, and then fell and is mostly stuck around the bottom of the top 40 in various countries. Firework kept it steady (i.e it didn't plummet or fall as much as it normally would have) but it didn't return the album to the top ten in many countries, in fact it merely climbed a few places in some countries and then fell back down after it's release. This campaign needs a single that will REALLY shift the album. It's only sold 1.3 million in the US, and "only" (using this term loosely because these days 600K is fantastic for a UK album, but with three massive singles and her profile it should be much more) around 630K in the UK. Her singles are doing AMAZINGLY well, and her album is doing "pretty good" in the UK but come on, her next single should be focused on selling albums and not having a high peak on the singles charts.

I went for Last Friday Night in the poll but I love The One That Got Away as well and reckon it would make a decent single.
I think we need a re-release and a killer new single to help the album upto 1 million mark in the UK.

Would love last friday night

But i predict a new song for the rumoured re-release. Shame as i think the album is very good by it's self with no new tracks. But the era being so successful, im sure her label want it to carry on for another 6 months or so.
