so true, its just very clear their eliminating acts which could contend with who their chosen winner is (Joe and David and Karen) and sending in acts who have no chance (Paul and Jean), I won't rant any more, but it does annoy me a tad :(

Not really a fan of Ronan, but I prefer him at the moment

 

Simon does this all the time. He looks for the act he can make the most money from and then overpraises them.. Last year on X Factor it was One Direction with "You are the most exciting pop act in the country" Seriously ?

Ronan deffo has a better voice than all the NB boys put together! But really, it says it all that Jean is my fave the final so far :( Ronan is good, but again he's far too overhyped. I think Simon overhyping NB is his way of trying to maximize their chance of winning so (like you said) he makes more money.

The only acts I'm looking forward to seeing now are Razy and Edward Reid. (The Matrix dancer guy and the Nursery Rhyme bloke) Luckily, they're both the sort of acts Simon can make the most money from after the show, so fingers crossed...

 

Oh and that guy who sang 'Fast Car' is going to go through as well isn't he?! :manson:

Very predictable. Ronan was good, but not great. What sports is he good at? Skipping? Doesn't look like much of a football/rubgy player to me!!!

I could just punch them all square in the face! Ronan wasn't much more modest, but tbh I must say New Bounce are downright *insert naughty word of choice here* - they are OK but nothing more. The way Simon goes on, it's like Take That performed or something :mellow:

I thought Ronan was a lot more modest. He seemed genuinely thrilled to have done so well whereas one or two members of New Bounce (what a dreadful name) looked like they expected to go through.

Well, that was a disaster. New Bounce, I'm sorry, were utter $hite. It's one of the worst cases of the 'voting appeal' I've seen so far. At least Ronan had a good voice.

 

David and Karen have easily been the best act over these two nights, and they really were robbed. I like Jean, she's a good performer, and seems a wonderful person, but she's really not as entertaining as D&K.

 

It also seems like we're going to have a completely musical final, based on these two nights. Maybe Razzy as well, but I can't remember any other non-singing acts that have stood out.

I'd like to echo others comments about how poor tonight's semi final was thus supporting my claim that BGT 2011 has been nowhere near as strong as previous years.

 

I didn't particularly like any of tonight's acts. If I had to choose a fave, it'd be the crazy lady playing boogie woogie on her keyboard. She's through to the final along with the tragic boyband but I just can't see either of them winning - and if the ode to The Jackson 4 were to win, that'd confirm BGT 2011 has been a complete and utter waste of time and money.

I thought Ronan looked like he was expecting to get through. Not that I blame him, it was obvious given how crap most of the others (bar 2 or 3) were!

Urgh New Bounce. Admittedly they were so much better than their auditions, and the one of them really can sing very well . The tallest one was completely out of tune when they were signing though. Either that or his voice had broken and the other three's handn't. Didn't like the chorus. I hate them though. Simon Cowell just sees the $$$ in them. They were highly average, and that one with the afro is so f***ing annoying.

 

A bit gutted Karen & David didn't go through as they were really very good, bit Jean is actually amazing. I don't know what it is, but there's something incredibly likeable about her. Gutted New Bounce went through though as they really are not that good.

I think that's the biggest problem with this group. The boys' voices are breaking and there's no telling what they will sound like when that happens.

 

Obviously Ronan's voice hasn't broken yet either but I suspect it won't for a while yet. There will be time for him to record an album before his voice does break.

What great diversity we have on BGT. Two children singing acts and two piano/keyboard players in the final while the different acts, like stunts and magic get booted off. What is the point in making it a VARIETY show, when only musical acts are getting through?

Davidsons' point is too true :( I expect to see James Hobley (the young blond dancer, he was INCREDIBLE), Michael Collings (the guy that sang Fast Car), Jessica Hobson (the girl who sang Billie Jean in a small 5 sec clip on Sunday - I know we've not seen much of her but I think she's my fave from just that clip :o) and Razy Gogonea (French dancer) in the final. So no variety :mellow: Looking at the bookies odds, all the ones with any chance are singing/dancing acts... I hope Out Of The Blue get to the final too - LOVED them!

 

 

EDIT: Having re-watched Ronan's audition, I think I'm being a bit hard on him :( I stand by the opinion his performance on Monday wasn't too great but his audition was fantastic! Still not a fan though, hope he doesn't win.

Justin Bieber is 17 and still sounds like his voice hasn't broken. Either that or his voice has broken but as a child only dogs could understand him. :D

Yep Hits is right Sabrina. You have every right to be harsh when the talent is all so crap. I mean an OTT circus troupe with far too much going on and an X-Factor ready boring crooner who tried to be cool but failed so far - not great... The only ones I'm looking forward in the whole week is Jessica (the girl who sang Billie Jean) and James (the young boy who dances)...
