Both BTW and Judas sound like Madonna songs to me, or at the very least, more retro sounding songs than ANYTHING of The Fame/Monster. Both still sound like GaGa/Madonna songs.

Well thats my point. Gaga's first album tracks mostly sounded unique to her and different to anything around. BTW and Judas have blatantly sounded like she's trying to copy/emulate Madonna, shes even called the track Judas because of Madonna's Just Like A Prayer controversy. Add to that Born This Way has elements that sound very like Utah Saints and the chorus of Judas is very weak and sounds like an average Eurovision song.

No, it didn't at all. The premiere was EXTREMELY low profile compared to BTW. The vast majority of people probably don't even know it's out yet. It was a bit of a shock it even went as high as #2 IMO.

Perhaps you and others follow Gaga's career much more closely than me and are better placed to answer, but I heard about the same amount of hype for both singles and then when they were both released the similar buzz occured around the net.

Twenty Twenty & Starboy Nathan top 40. WTF? :o
Tracy Chapman top 10 now. :o
I thought Twenty Twenty would be doing slightly better as I've seen the video on music channels quite often. They deserve a good position, I saw them support The Saturdays and they were really good - I think Love To Life is much better live than recorded. Anyway, hope they can at least get top 'Twenty Twenty'. :P

Who woulda thought that Jennifer Lopez would be doing better than Lady Gaga :o

Happy to have her back at #2, selling really well. Hopefully she can get her first #1 album with Love?

Nevermind, found it.

Reg, you are becoming way too predictable with your looning :P

I've just realised the Unorthodox EP is number 3 on the iTunes album chart- they'd still need to get at least top 3 on the Itunes singles chart, but that could definitely give them a sales boost

on the topic of that, Adele is back at #1 there and Foos are down to #4, which pretty much confirms its going to go back there next week :drama: I think only Gaga will now stop this

Where do you think 'Fast Car' will chart next Sunday?

Top 20/Top 25ish.

I reckon around the top 15 a la Shakespears Sister - Stay. Would be weird if it returned to the top 10 after 23 years.
Looks like Wretch 32 is going to get stuck at #2, LMFAO has still got a large lead, at this rate LMFAO are going to get a second week ugh...

I guess at #16.

I really hope Wretch 32 and Example get #1. :(
