Does anyone have anything TV programmes that do not fit with their normal taste?

I for example have recently gotten really into COUNTDOWN, ANTIQUES ROADSHOW and COUNTRY HOUSE RESCUE.

I am becoming an old person.

I really like all those 'house' programmes like 'Location, Location' and 'Grand Designs'. I was obviously supposed to be a middle-aged woman!

You can't compare 'Location, Location, Location' to 'Grand Designs'! Kevin McCloud is going come for you after that comparison!

Erm please. Property Ladder was always and always will be the ultimate housing programme. Sarah Beeny is a bloody legend. With amazing tits.

Oh noes! :( I shall tell him that Kirsty & Phil are superior! :smoke:

THIS.

I love how she advises them, then they ignore her an regret it. It's AMAZING

Yes! I can only assume nobody who's been on Property Ladder has ever actually watched it because if they had they would realise that Sarah is GOD-like in her knowledge and has yet to be proved wrong on anything. LISTEN TO THE WOMAN. It makes amazing TV to see them mess up though and I like how Sarah always gets a sly little dig or five in over the voiceover at the end.

I love Countdown. I'm proper $h!t when I play along with it though. I can never get more then 5 or 6 letter words.

Lewis (watching atm), Property Ladder is amazing, BBC Breakfast (not so much now), Rosemary and Thyme the list goes on tbf.

When it was on I thought Rosemary & Thyme was the ACTUAL TITS. Recently I caught a repeat and realised it was actually utter horseshit but even so something about the concept of two middle-aged, bordering on elderly women who go around landscaping gardens and keep coincidentally discover AND SOLVING murders was amazing. I liked how they always beat the police to it (were the police ever even involved?) and nobody seemed to mind or find it even the slightest bit strange that two nosey gardeners were doing the police's job for them. It really was extremely camp in retrospect.

I got into Countdown for a few weeks due to my friend being a fan of it, so then I became slightly addicted. But I've not really seen it for about a month or something now. But yeah, like Gary, I can only really get 5-6 letter words, but occasionally a 7 or something. I'm quite good at the maths though (but maybe it's just the easy ones that I can do? :P)

One of the best examples of this I think was a "young professional" couple who bought a flat ABOVE A PUB in Islington. Then decked it out with a £20,000 soundsystem and other ridiculous things, adding no value. They didn't listen to a word the BEANSTER said, thought they'd sell. Then your BEANEY DIG at the end/truth: "the couple have taken the flat off the market and moved in, waiting for the right time to sell".

They were a truly HIDEOUS pair

Countdown is brilliant.

I got really into Deal Or No Deal a while ago. Haven't seen it for ages now though. I just lost interest in it. It's really not very interesting

oh man i definitely agree with grand designs! if i ever build my own house it'll be bomb after all the ideas i've gotten from that. though i've seen almost every episode there have only been like 3 houses that i'd go live in just as they are

for me it's all about crimewatch i can't get enough of it. the dodgy reconstructions, the shady photo fits, that wall of shame. can't miss an episode

I think I remember that pair Jake. My personal favourites were two women (sisters possibly) who bought and did up an Art Deco-style house somewhere like Brighton but decorated it entirely to their own 'eclectic' taste, including leopard print on the walls and turquoise/purpley bathroom tiles that changed colour depending on your viewing angle. IT DIDN'T SELL.

In my house at uni we watch Deal Or No Deal most days for about a month and then have a couple of months off. We all freely admit that it's terrible but Noel's increasingly bizarre antics (as well as the contestants at the boxes who get strangely emotional if the player doesn't win big) make it must-see viewing frankly.

I know it sounds horrible but I always find it hilarious if they're left with something like 1p or 250k and end up with 1p.

and then trying and make them feel better by saying they're in the 1p club. more like rubbing salt in the wounds!
