That's out? :o It's really good! I'm surprised that sticking a random rapper on it hasn't got him into the top 40 tbh.

Well, it would help a bit if the rapper was well-known!

I don't know why he keeps flopping though. Not just Alligator Sky, but all his songs that I've listened to are really good, and not much worse than Fireflies imo.

Especially Umbrella Beach, which was right after Fireflies. I can't believe how poorly it sold! :(

^Apparently it was released last week, and it entered the top 1000 a couple of days ago. It's on the front page of iTunes, that is if you click on the singles tab, next to the Glee lot, which I'm guessing is the only promotion it's been getting, aside from being spun a few times on Atlantic FM (one of the local stations down here in the SW)

I love it too, both versions. I'd like it to get top 40, or even top 200, but I can't see that happening right now, unless promotion picks up immensely.

I really don't know how he keeps flopping. Fireflies, Vanilla Twilight, Umbrella Beach and Alligator Sky are all brilliant. As are a lot of the others on Ocean Eyes.

Hopefully at least the album will get a good placing.

ETA: There's actually a version with B.O.B on it, but it's not on iTunes. Shawn Chrystopher sounds almost like a clone of B.O.B though, so I can't imagine it'd make much difference to the song.

Thrilled to see Guetta climb to the top. If it managed to climb to number 14 in one day - it'll no doubt reach number-one come Sunday as long as it stays on top. A deserving track though, I must say. I've been anticipating its release for weeks and as people have said no video and no playlisting prior to today make this reaching number-one a HUGE achievement.

So if this reaches number-one it'll be the 5th, 3rd and 1st for Guetta, Flo Rida and Minaj respectively!

As for other climbers, great to see Chase and Status with 2 versions of 'Time' in the top 40 - it's #29 in the Midweeks, so here's hoping it'll climb. Also, great to see Wiz Khalifa's 'Roll Up' finally starting to climb, it's another summer tune waiting to happen!

Yeah, I noticed that. If I wasn't told beforehand, I probably would've assumed the Shawn Chrystopher version was B.o.B rapping. They do have very similar voices.

4th for Flo-Rida; Right Round, Club Can't Handle Me & Bad Boys.

^ To be fair, I forgot about Bad Boys too.

Not just about Flo Rida being on it, I forgot the song actually existed! :o It's strange too, since I listen to All Night Long and Start Without You all the time, but it's been months and months since Bad Boys ever crossed my mind.

Also, wouldn't it have been cute if both Low and Higher got to #1? :kink:

Woah! :o It's strange for a producer to have such a large worldwide fanbase like this.

Actually, it isn't really. :o

I'm sure 'When Love Takes Over' and 'Sexy Bitch' both dominated iTunes when those tracks were released in 2009.

Guetta is the new Timbaland. :D

As much as I hate LMFAO and Party Rock Anthem the new Guetta No 1 is not much better, he just recycles the same sound and tune it is really annoying.Guetta is beyond being a 1 trick pony he has run out of tricks.I really like Nicky though so hope she can get a UK No 1 but the song is just not good.We need new tracks and soon from Alexandra, Leona, Jason, Kelly, Marina and MIA.
I don't mind Guetta guetting another number one, but please wait a week so that LMFAO can get 4 weeks. ;) Like I said earlier Guetta should have been no.1 with WTC which is a much better song than WTGA. If only original dance acts like Alex Metric & Steve Angello who are released next week could get number one, they are destined to flop because they have a cr**py vocal mix and they're not popular :(

It would be good if Nicki gets more popular here however, GFLD desrved at least top 20 and she's underrated here. That girl can really rap and she needs a top 10 single in her name sometime this year :D She sadly missed out with 'Check It Out'

Did you just censor the word 'crappy'?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let 'Where Them Girls At' overtake 'Party Rock Anthem' on Sunday's Official Chart! Loved PRA when I first heard it (Maybe because of the video aswell :P) but the novelty soon wore off and it's getting annoying.
I don't understand how everyone is going off 'Party Rock Anthem' so quickly! I think if it hadn't been #1 for multiple weeks, people would still like it :(
527. Right There - Nicole Scherzinger is the video on music channels yet??

Don't think so but it's C-Listed on Radio 1 already.

I find the song unbelievibly annoying. I just wish it would go away. It has been overplayed.
