May 18, 201115 yr Aloe Blacc top 5 :o That was a bit out of the blue, hope it can stay there. SHM at #14 :cheer: Really hope it can climb to the top 10 this week. I don't think it'll peak this week anyway. Hugh Laurie back up to #3? :mellow: I guess 19 will be back up to 4 tomorrow (poor Friendly Fires :() but looks like it won't be higher as Hugh Laurie refuses to budge (bizarrely) - that'll be the lowest it's been since 10 weeks ago. 9 straight weeks between 2 and 3, pretty impressive. I suspect both #1s will change tomorrow, maybe Kate Bush will hold it for one more day but I'd be very surprised if 21 isn't #1 by the Friday update.

May 18, 201115 yr Brilliant to see Fleetwood Mac's album in the top 30 :wub: Just gave it my first listen (thanks to Glee) and it's a brilliant album. So, so good. I bought their Best Of last year and 10 of the 11 songs from Rumours are on it, so I've been acquainted with it for a while :D Aside from the songs on there though you should check out Little Lies and Everywhere if you don't know them already - two of the main reasons I bought the album actually :wub: Dreams is my favourite Fleetwood Mac song, I'm sure it's obvious why. Strange, the older I get - the deeper back in time I seem to take my music searches, I just bought two '100 Hits: 80s' type compilations last week :lol: Although generally, anything pre-Abba I can't really seem to get on board with. Rumours is phenomenal album, a real seminal work. I've got the best of and rumours oddly got the best of first and was less impressed while still good but got rumours and loved it. The newer "very best of" may have more tracks though that came out in the last year or two. I think generally it may be the fact the quality stays up with rumours and it has fewer tracks which are on average better, if you get what I mean. Also flow is always better in a studio album. They both kick around for under a five regularly so you could get both if you feel flush. Best of probably more bang for your buck but the chart fan in me says buy rumours- one of the biggest selling albums ever in UK (4mil ish?) And most top 75 weeks for an album ever (474 from memory). Never thought it'd get more actually, well unless Steve nicks died or something. Yay for glee. If Zeus is around perhaps he will clarify/confirm ;-)

May 19, 201115 yr Caro Emerald #11, just one more place! Although it will get pushed down at the weekend, she needs to get over here and promote! The album and single charts seem less in sync than ever at the moment...nobody in the top five, apart from Adele, and most acts in the top 20, would never have a hope in hell of getting a hit single.
