Caro Emerald #11, just one more place!

Although it will get pushed down at the weekend, she needs to get over here and promote!

The album and single charts seem less in sync than ever at the moment...nobody in the top five, apart from Adele, and most acts in the top 20, would never have a hope in hell of getting a hit single.

It's incredible! Finally someone I love getting some success in the UK Charts

Deleted Scenes... really is one of 2010's stronger albums. It is just so good. A Night Like This was a brilliant and inspired entry!

She's actually going to the UK today for promo! She's performing on This Morning tomorrow :)
I can't wait, she'll be amazing

Jedward down 6 places? With only 2 days left, it seems they'll no doubt fall to just outside the top 40 by Sunday - which is a real shame; it'd be nice to have another country's Eurovision entry charting.

Annoyed that Swedish House Mafia and Blue haven't moved yet though, although Adele has fallen 2 places with 'Someone Like You' and 1 place with 'Rolling in the Deep' - clearly people are moving onto other artists to download.

Jazz/Swing, sounds like my kind of music - I'm gonna download the album! :)

How did it only reach #74 first time, though? :o

On a side issue, she's not bad looking, either.

Oh dear! Jedward wont be top 40 on sunday :(

If Selena Gomez slips into the 40 by the weekend, they are goners, I still think they could just peak at #40

Even the Teletubbies would be preferable to Jedward! :w00t:

Selena Gomez is #38 on Itunes, but she wont be top 40 surely! She was in the 120 zone until Tuesday.
Great to see Rumours back in. BTW if anyone here's going to buy it, get the 2-disc remastered version as the sound is far far better than the original CD release, which tbh sounds awful and is at a low volume.

Caro into the top10???? *dies*

Amazing news

If you like it you should then go out and buy it :cheer:

When it was released last year it didn't get much fanfare and was lucky to chart at all, this time it's been a whole lot bigger. She's been in album charts in Supermarkets and HMV, whereas last time I had to hunt through the Pop albums to find it in HMV.

The album is brilliant, so pleasant to just leave on in the background too.

:cheer: This is great, although I was out this morning so didn't see her on, er, This Morning :drama:

I'm so glad the supermarkets have supported her this time, it makes all the difference. I think her album doing well may be a reaction to Adele and the like doing well, people clearly have an appetite for simple classy music sung by excellent singers. Which they apparently didn't have 8 months ago when she first released it  She had the same level of radio support (i.e. a-list on Radio 2 and that's it) but it just didn't take off at all...

A Night Like This remains one of my favourite of my own BJSC entries, can't say I'd have ever expected her to have a UK top ten album :o

I've just thought, she might tour in the UK based on this success :w00t:

Caro Emerald is vile! Honestly don't see or get the hype :puke:

Vile? A bit extreme  There isn't any hype as far as I can see, just an excellent album finally somehow selling well on limited radio play and minimal word of mouth with a sound that nobody else is really doing at the moment.

I can appreciate that singers like this are never going to have hit singles but I'm glad she's going to have a hit album to her name - hopefully it can hang around for a bit!

I slept through it  Will have to see if it's online.

What hype? She's had none at all! I don't see how vile would cover her, it's Jazz music. Hardly the most offensive thing in the world

It's not I don't think, I've checked Youtube and it's not anyway...:(

 I was expecting it to come last but seeing as it got as high as 12th I wish it had managed top ten! I guess it's not really the audience for jazz though so I'm glad it did as well as it did. I can't believe that over a year on she's finally getting somewhere with the song/album here!

Each to their own with personal tastes, but I agree that there really hasn't been any hype (in the UK at least, I'm sure the Dutch are sick of her after her 30 weeks at #1 making Adele's achievement look feeble ). As for UK hype, it's completely passed me by, the first I knew of her looking set to do well was on Monday seeing the album up at #3 on their charts, and having worked for them for years on the music section, I know that the album chart is based on pre-orders/expected sales.

Jermaine Stewart top 40 :D great to hear a bit of 80s on the chart show- shame that we couldn't hear 19 in full when it charted

I expect Swedish House Maffia will be top 10 over the weekend as well

Although it is great to see Aloe Blacc doing well in singles and albums-where is Cocknbullkid.
