May 22, 201115 yr I agree, its the most generic number 1 of the year imo -_- I actually preferred Pitbull's other songs Yeah, this is poor for a Pitbull song. Although it's okay. I preferred like Hey Baby, Shut You Down, Calle Ocho and Hotel Room Service. And also All Night Long and On the Floor.
May 22, 201115 yr This is the first time I've heard the Nayer version, and actually it really improves the song. Not a total waste of a #1 as I previously thought (though the last great #1 was Adele...)

May 22, 201115 yr This will still be here next i think. I dont really mind, cus im not a fan of the other 2 contenders this week!
May 22, 201115 yr funny how djs make different songs sound similar - eg david guetta with sexy bitch/where them girls at,lmfao with party rock/gettin over you and afrojack with take over control/give me everything I agree totally with this but Gettin Over You, although it feautured LMFAO, it was produced by David Guetta, so mabye I'm In Miami Girl would be a better example? Still I am not sure if that was produced by them or Chuckie? I do agree though, and I am starting to find it rather boring.
May 22, 201115 yr Most Pitbull songs are generic though.... So, yeh. :) I found On The Floor quite generic

Party Rock Anthem was a combined production effort between Goonrock and LMFAO I think. I assume one might've made the verse, and the other the chorus, then they attached them together. I think it's like that with most (if not all) producers though, not just dance producers. A lot of hip hop producers are similar like that (I guess the most well-known for this at the moment are Alex Da Kid and Timbaland). And pop producers like RedOne (e.g. Judas and Bad Romance) and Dr. Luke (e.g. California Gurls and Tik Tok). Most Pitbull songs are generic though.... So, yeh. :) I found On The Floor quite generic I think the most generic Pitbull song is probably I Like It. On the Floor wasn't too generic. The chorus was basically a Stereo Love/Lambada mash-up, but the verses were quite distinctive imo. And his first two singles (Calle Ocho and Hotel Room Service) has quite non-generic beats, but he's been going more and more pop since then, especially with the songs he features on. May 22, 201115 yr Lazy Song shold still be no.1. That or Aloe Blacc. I can't believe the number of fanatastic artists who have never been no.1 and yet artists like Pitbull and Ke$ha can get there.
May 22, 201115 yr aloe blacc is actualy a good bit behind the top 3 now ive checked, could increase his sales but stay at 4 or fall, unless the sales for the top 3 fall.no wonder artists like pitbull and kesha get no1, they get most video airplay!!
May 22, 201115 yr About the Gettin' Over You production, I'm not sure if LMFAO actually produced any of it, because the version with them and Fergie on is a remix. There was an original version on the album which just had Chris Willis on vocals, and LMFAO's bits were just instrumental, which suggests that they had nothing to do with the song originally. Although it is entirely possible they helped to produce the song, but didn't intend to rap on it originally.
May 22, 201115 yr (13) Lady Gaga-Hair Another good tune from Gaga. Also I saw her on SNL last night and she did a better job acting on the show than performing.
